The software is very broken

I've had one of these for several months now. I got it mostly so that me and several of my family members could all have remote access to some large common storage. The hardware it has would be great for the price, EXCEPT almost every different feature in the software is broken in one way or another. Basically, there is NO method of connection on this NAS device, which allows people to connect to it remotely over the internet, without serious problems of one kind or another.
