Harley Davidson Phone Carrier Mount Kit, OEM Part # 76000537 & # 76000549

This was a gift for my husband and he loves it. Nice safe way for him to have GPS, music and communication without doing damage to his bike.

First this is not an OEM Harley Davidson Part. The supplied screws are metric, really?!? After purchasing the correct screws and mounting I thought I would be satisfied with the product. After 2 days of riding this mount is garbage and will NOT hold phone in place. Every time you hit a bump the phone position changes and then ends up eventually facing down as far as possible. The plastic locking screw does not hold the mount in place and if you try to tighten it to far comes completely off.SAVE your money and look elsewhere for a phone mount.

The swivel ball and the Tightening that nut does seem to hold it tight and it droops

Clamped on good, had to use old washer as well, phone holder is not that tight where it stays in place, I tighten the screw but it still moves on a smooth road,,,,Any suggestions? I have a Samsung S5.

I returned it as the friction screw to hold the phone mount in place was not tight enough to even hold up my phone while riding.

Great phone holder. It holds my iPhone 7+ firm. I've had it for 3 weeks and have road for hours with the holder with no issues.

I bought a real one from HD., works amazing so I bought 2 of these on Amazon for 2 buddies.. They really are crap. The screws that hold the phone in, fall out from vibration. The Phone will jump all over the place unless you Glue it in place.. Don't waste your money.. If it were Free, I would not even suggest you get one.. Your value in your phone and the hassle of driving while this thing is falling all over the place is NOT worth it. Its actually pretty dangerous. The Screws came in metric size instead of SAE size. I had to search all over to find the proper size.

What they do not tell you is that you have to have the nut on the phone holder before you insert the ball. You then tighten it by rotating it back out or clockwise to tighten the actual phone holder. (you really have to push hard to seat the ball onto the phone holder) No matter how much you tighten it, if you hit a bump it is going to move. The knobs on the side to tighten the phone loosen so it is a good idea to check them every once in awhile. Great on smooth roads. The mounting stud hardware is not the same quality that Harley has. You can tell from the bolts, washers, and spacers. (Cheap bolts). Glad I already had a OEM Harley mount on the bike. There is a big difference between what you get at your Harley dealer and this. I would spend the extra buck and go to the dealer.
