I recently purchased the Philips Hue Smart Dimmer Switch with Remote and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. One of the main reasons I purchased this switch was because I wanted to be able to dim the lights or turn them off with the switch, but still have all of my Philips hue routines and settings remain in place. This switch has done exactly that and has made controlling my smart lights so much easier.Installation was a breeze and I love that I can control whatever light (or all the lights in my apartment) from the included remote. The dimming feature is smooth and the switch itself is sleek and modern. I've even started using it to turn off all the lights in my house at night instead of walking around to each individual light switch.Overall, I highly recommend the Philips Hue Smart Dimmer Switch to anyone looking for an easy and convenient way to control their Philips Hue smart lights. It's a great addition to any smart home setup.

Hue products are addicting, and also expensive. They are supposed to be set up and forgotten about. They are used multiple times a day and can change the setting of any room just by its color. They're great.They need accessories that work well too. If something is janky and doesn't work as it should, it gets frustrating, and many times we give up, and it's all a bunch of wasted money. The dimmer switch is an accessory that works. And it works very well.We have about five total installed in the house, and all of them have worked 98% of the time. We use them every day, and there have been only a few times I remember them needing to troubleshoot. And even then, it was a simple as reconnecting the unit to the app. That's pretty good numbers if you ask me.Smart homes are slowly becoming the norm, and when you are starting, it can be overwhelming. But there is a reason why Hue is the leader in smart lighting. They are just good at what they do. Now, their app is another story, but their products are quality, and this switch is a great addition.

Works perfectly! I have a relatively simple Hue setup -- just four lights in lamps in my living room. None of these lamps are on switched outlets, so I can control the lights by a) using an app, b) using a voice-controlled device, or c) turning the lamps on and off. This gives another way to control the lights by using the smart dimmer remote. This is great if you have guests or visitors that might not be as familiar with Hue lights or how they work.This has two parts - a remote (which controls the lights) and a base. The remote can attach to the base by included magnets, or the remote can operate as a handheld remote. The base can be attached to your wall via sticky tape (also included). This makes it easy to attach the base to a wall and add a new "switch" anywhere you want - no wiring or cutting required. Just peel and stick.The remote has lets you cycle through four light settings and also adjust the brightness of the lights. Tapping the on button cycles through the four light settings. The first tap of the on button can either turn on the last-used setting or turn on a default setting of your choice.Highly recommended if you want to add another way to control your lights or if you are looking to make it easier for guests to control your Hue lights.

I used this with 2 Phillips smart bulbs in our night stand lamps. The dimming function gave me the best of both worlds. Very dim when one of us got up early or stayed up late, or bright when we needed more light. And if needed, we can switch one lamp off at the nightstand with it’s own switch. And when we turn that nightstand switch back on, the bulb reverts to the current dimmer switch setting, even if that setting is off. One caveat; our Phillips smart bulbs required a firmware update to get the “return to current state” function which took HOURS to finish. Do a google search for more info on that. Before we updated, when we turned the nightstand lamp back on with its own switch, the bulb would come back on at 100% brightness. We also connected an Amazon echo Dot to control our lamps by voice. I don’t think you need the dimmer switch to do that, but the switch allows us to control the lamps without waking each other up with our voice commands. The pictures of the dimmer don’t quite show for certain, but there is no messing with wiring. The thing is just a little remote control with a magnetic wall plate Incase you want to mount the remote someplace. Ours is just sitting on my nightstand. I took 2 stars off installation ONLY because of the firmware update time.

Muy práctico y sencillo de instalar toda vez que tienes ya tu Hue Bridge. En mi caso lo agregué para poder prender las luces sin necesidad de tener el teléfono en la mano y en lugar de usar Siri. Me encontré con la necesidad que otras personas puedan prender las luces o yo mismo al no traer mi teléfono. Fue muy fácil configurar las escenas predeterminadas de los 4 botones y ahora si cualquiera puede prender las luces.Hay que entender que para que las luces de Hue funcionen el interruptor de la casa debe estar prendido.

Purchased this to go with a set of six Philips Hue 4" Recessed Downlights. This switch serves two purposes: allows me to now be able to dim my recessed lights, and I can place this where it is more ideal, as the existing switch for the recessed lights is not in an ideal location. Cannot comment on the adhesion as I haven't stuck it to a wall yet, so it just sits on one of the end tables in the living room. I'll stick it on a wall eventually... maybe.It was extremely easy to attach to the Hue Hub and associate it with the recessed lights mentioned above. Works great. No fuss, no muss!So far, I am a happy camper!
