Eschenfelder Glass Sprouting Jar 1 x 1000ml

Good product.

I thought having a metal mesh lid sounded great to spend less time growing my sprouts. But unfortunately the lid went rusty during the first use already! Not worth the money in my opinion. Otherwise it does make the job easier but I doubt it's very healthy having all that rust added to the mix..

The metal mesh appears to be hot-glued into the lid. Hard to believe this is food-safe. The mesh detaches with a slight amount of pressure. The whole thing feels flimsy and home made.I chose a metal-and-glass sprouter because I didn't want the sprouts to be in contact with plastic for a long time, but I would much rather have a plastic product than one glued together with who-knows-what kind of glue.I wouldn't use this if it were given to me for free. Luckily, mine arrived smashed and Amazon were quick to refund.
