Good value
These seem to be decent quality genuine ebony pegs. They need to be fitted to the instrument, of course, preferably by someone skilled at doing so. You can do it yourself though with the tool to shave them down to the needed size and a drill to put a hole in them if you are patient enough.

Good pegs. That are misunderstood by many.
Good consistent pegs that all look the same. Will buy again if needed. On a side note. Many people seem to misunderstand that these pegs are oversized on purpose. They are made this way so you can shorten and shave them down to your needs. Every violin is going to be different in terms of peg hole size and condition.

These pegs are excellent if used as they are intended
These pegs are excellent if used as they are intended. Those that complain about them being too big or that they do not have string holes drilled in them do not understand that these pegs required the pegs box holes be redressed with a reamer, the pegs shaved to fit and the strings holes located and drilled appropriate to the string they adjust. If you're not prepared to do that work, buy prefit pegs and hope for the best or take your instrument to a luthier. Don't blame the product for a personal lack of understanding. I love these pegs!

If you know what you are doing... maybe!
This review is for non violin experts!- Pegs are too large for our 3/4 size violin,- Pegs are too long,- No little peg's holes were drilled to welcome the strings. So fortunately, my daughter has a wonderful violin teacher and with the help of his tools (to increase the size of peg's holes) and my drill to make holes in the pegs for the strings, we were able to use them! The length problem still remains but she can play.

NO HOLES
Not what I expected. It is not the fault of Saga Musical Instruments though. Fault is mine because of my ignorance. I didn't notice the pegs in the picture were not 4/4 size. Nevertheless, even if I got the right size, I noticed the pegs had no holes in them and if one does not have a drill (musicians are not carpenters who can always be assumed to have drills though some musicians might have one). But even if one has a drill, he still needs to know the size of bit necessary for drilling the holes, and if mistakes happen in drilling, the pegs can be damaged. This thing can be upsetting to some and if one has hypertension, the problem can put the person's health at risk.

Good buy for 4/4
I ordered for the wrong size violin but the packaging was very good and looks like the quality is good. Cheap enough I thought I'd keep them for future use.

Too big for a 1/4.
I’m not sure if I was just sent a wrong size, but they were too big. I had to spend a while shaving and sanding down to make fit. Also, you have to drill your own hole. Nice quality though as far as I can tell.

Comme sur la photo
Trop petit, je ne peux pas m'en servir.

Does not fit my 1/2 size violin
The sent pegs are about a half inch longer than the original pegs on my half size violin (back length is 12 1/4") and the taper is correspondingly thicker so that they do not fit the holes. I tried shaving one down to fit but it is a poor modification. I would guess that these are wrongly labelled pegs for a 3/4 or full size violin.

Misleading
There we’re no pre drilled holes and therefore unusable.
