Listening to some old favorites again
This is an old CD I had that was all messed up. I didn't think I could ever find nor afford to replace it. However. Amazon came through for me oncevagain. I found exact CD, it plays perfectly, now I can listen to my favorite songs again. MaryK

Kristy Starling's debut CD is a must have!
I host and produce a syndicated radio program ... It was my privilege to interview Kristy Starling for an upcoming show... Kristy impressed me with her deep thoughts, her caring heart and her music talent. Her current top twenty hit, "Water" is worth the price of the CD by itself. My other favorite cuts from the CD include the upbeat "All For You" and the tender "I Need You." This CD is full of songs of inspiration, uplifting and encouragement. This project will garner Kristy a nomination at next year's Dove Awards for New Artist of the Year. She is that good and this CD does not disappoint!

What a GREAT cd of faith inspired pop songs
What a GREAT cd of faith inspired pop songs. Who is this beautiful woman with a voice like an angel. I hope she makes it big in Christian music, and cuts more CD's...I'll buy them all.

Not sure that this is a Christian album
This was disappointing for me - the lyrics are watery to the point that it's only possible to use this as light background music. Can you believe that the name Jesus is not mentioned even once in any of the songs? Neither is the cross for that matter. Muslims and Hindus can doubtless listen to this without fear of being offended. There is no question of Kristy's talent - she has a wonderful voice, and the arrangements are good, but the message is nearly non-existent. This is essentially inspirational chewing gum; there is flavour, but no significant nutrients. That said, considering how dangerous much of today's music is, this is not bad as a "pop" replacement for families concerned about what their younger members listen to.I'd suggest Jamie Jamgochian, Charlie Hall, Vicky Beeching and Kara Williamson as alternatives with a good blend of message and music quality. These performers leave zero doubt who their God is.Sorry Kristy, try again.

Kristy Starling Has Risen Up To Being One Of My Favorite Female Vocalists
This is a very good project. I will start off by telling you all the songs I didn't like, by name. Now that I've done that, I'll move on to my favorites of the ten songs I do like. My favorites are "Water", "Broken", "There Will Come A Day", "You Love Me Like That", "All For You", and "I Need You".I thought it was great having "Water" (the radio single and only song I knew before listening to this project) and "I Need You" as the first and last song, because they reflect a similar theme, giving a feel of a thought out project as opposed to a collection of several unconnected songs."As Long As You're Here" is a beautiful love song. I also think it is interesting that pop singer Richard Marx co-wrote "To Where You Are", and co-produced it with legendary producer David Foster. I noticed on the lyric sheet it is the only one that did not capitalize apparent references to God.This is a project where a Christian can tell what the theme is. One reviewer did correctly point out that it is vague, but I don't think it was too vague. Two more comments. First, Kristy is purely a singer: she did not write either the lyrics or music for any of the songs. I believe that songwriters tend to be stronger message wise than those who sing other people's songs.Second, for those who are familiar with the series "Doc", Kristy reminds me looks wise of Andrea Robinson, who played nurse Nancy Nichols on the series (not to be confused with a personal friend and excellent singer/songwriter named Andrea Robinson, who lives in Nashville).

the STAR of tomorrow discovered TODAY
Kristy has a powerful voice, and showcases her talent in her songs. Her first single "Water" is already making waves on Christian radio; however, the album lacks a certain "something" that makes it unique and a hit on the charts. There are a few uptempo songs that I enjoy listening to, such as "All For You". The album also includes several cover songs, for example, "I Need You", which was originally recorded by country singer LeAnn Rimes. Her voice in that particular song falls short of LeAnn's, but it is still a good version nonetheless.Kristy is a breath of fresh-air in Contemporary Christian music. Hopefully by her second or third album, Kristy will have a chance to grow musically and start writing her own songs.

goodです!
