My wife and I travel the country in our RV and recently purchased this water softener. A water softener is a must have if you plan on spending long periods of time anywhere there is hard water. I've used this a few times and it does not soften the water , leaves bad spotting. No re-charge instructions and crooked base. Tried to email H&G customer service but no reply.Update: H&G sent me a message offering a full refund after me review by replying "full refund" I did so and now H&G as well as Amazon will not honor the offer. Very messed up when people cannot honor their own written words.

We are very pleased with the water softener. We are full time in our RV and it does a great job. We had an issue and the company handled it quickly and efficiently.

This system worked fine for a couple of uses. I thought I should test the softness after a couple of months. The hardness was same as tap water. Figured it needed more salt. I followed instructions in the video and could barely get half of the 1lb salt container into the tank (might have been less than half). Very frustrating since this was a pricey item. Instructions not very good.

Very well made and easy to hook up. I followed instructions and ran water through it for over 30 minutes until I could not smell or taste the water. Once I connected it to the Rv it made every faucet to have stinky water. It smelled and tasted like melted plastic. We left it connected for 2 days and the smell or taste never went away. It has taken completely flushing the water lines to get the odor out.

It was really easy to install, and seems to be working. My wife says that her hair feels better with this installed.

Seldom do you find a product that can deliver as promised. Small package unit, large performance and more then me my needs. Great soft water performance should be good for 2500 gallons for sure....then just add high quality salt again. Only fallback is the mickey mouse carrying handle which could be better designed. Great communication on my questions.
