Design Change
This was a replacement pad. I was very happy with the original pad. The sensor pack has been redesigned on the replacement pad, it is a little bulky and the snaps on the cover don't stay snapped. I liked the old one better for our purpose. It's working as expected.

We like it
A little on the small side. We also have the cordless alert pad for the bed. But wanted one for the front room chair cause elderly parent goes from bed to chair at night so I like to know when she gets up so I can check on her. Both pads are able to connect to one alarm so it's perfect for us. Works like.ir should. Hope it lasts more than a year.

Better instructions needed.
Works. Instructions for the necessity of syncing the pad with the alarm were not included with the pad. Had to research the alarm to get the item to work. Spent more time than should have been needed to get the pad operational.

unsafe to use with an elderly person.
Do not buy this product. assembly instructions are poor. time consuming to assemble. when done, the chair is unstable when transferring a person on to or off the chair. the locking wheels look substantial, but they do NOT hold the chair firmly in place. When placed over the toilet, the chair tipped and shifted location when transferring my 120 lb mom onto the chair. I would be returning but Amazon insists it must be unassembled to do so. When the bolts are sufficiently tightened to hold the chair together, the nuts are pretty much impossible to remove.I wasted my money. don't waste yours. Amazon says it is a 3rd party seller so there is nothing they can do.

Dangerous
The delay on the pad I received is too long, around 3 seconds, and my dad had a fall before the alarm even went off. Fortunately he wasn't seriously hurt. The bed pad that came with my alarm is instant and I don't understand why this one isn't.

Great help in knowing when someone gets off chair
Ended up with the chair and a bed alarm. These sensors send a silent signal when someone moves off of the pad to a remote chime that can be set low, so the patient might hear it as just another door bell or other signal not related to their movement. I noticed no false alarms, as when someone else over in bed, or moves in the chair. The alarm only dings when the full pressure is removed off of the pad. In fact, I had to learn not to tuck in the sensor pad itself in the chair, as any steady pressure prevents the signal going off.
