Dog likes it but it has to be soaked in water and mixed with meat before she'll eat it.

The main issue with this is the Price fluctuations and that is the reason I do not have it on a regular subscription sometimes it can be five or £6 cheaper at my local feed store. Sometimes it’s about the same price and worth getting delivered. The food itself is great the dogs love it and they have absolutely no problems with their stomachs one on it.

I hadn't heard of Chudley's before we got our dog, but our breeder recommended it. He is a respected gundog breeder, with dozens of very active dogs. The way he put it to us was to avoid the bargain-basement foods around 50p a kg because they can't possibly contain much of any real nutritional value. And to go for the expensive Royal Canin/James Wellbeloved types of stuff (which we used to feed our last dog!) is a waste of money, because you're paying so much for the brand. He has always favoured Chudley's Working Dog Crunch as being sufficiently good quality to keep all his dogs healthy, without costing him an arm and a leg (when he has a hundred dogs to feed, cost matters!).Sounded like pretty decent logic to us. Since she had been eating it for a good while, and he gave us a decent sized bag of it to take home with our dog, we gave it a try for a couple of weeks. And I have to say that having since tried a couple of other brands (one about the same price, and one 50% more expensive), Chudley's works best for us. The option to have the 15kg bag delivered straight to our door through Prime is an added bonus!Our cocker spaniel loves it - served with just enough warm water to soften it around the edges but leaving some crunch too - and she thrives. Happy to go for walk in the hills or woods with us, and has a lovely shiny coat too. She's not a working dog with us now - just a well-loved pet for an active family who like the outdoors.She has no issues with temperament or digestion with it, and I'd recommend it very highly.

Finding this brand has changed my dogs life, I trusted Dodson and Horrell to keep my competition horse in top condition and now I can say the same about their Chudleys for my dog. My rescue husky has always been the fussiest eater and I could never get his weight up, for 4yrs all biscuits I've tried it's been a battle to get him to eat them, Id have to soak them till there was no hardness left then mix his meat in, with these not only will he eat them non-soaked mixed with meat, he'll eat a full bowl with no meat. His weight has now doubled in 6months since using these and his coat has never been so soft, full and shiny, he's altogether healthier and getting him to eat is now a pleasure rather than a battle.

Cant comment on flavour but the spaniels look well on it

The bag had been torn in several places and patched by the courier following what I can only assume was damage inflicted at their handling/sorting depot. Otherwise a great product that my dogs like and eat with no fuss.

High quality dog food, used for my Springer Spaniel in fact it is a relative on the sack. ( the dogs not Mine!)Price about same maybe a pound cheaper than my previous supplier, so all good. I thought I would save a car journey and get it delivered.....what a mistake.Let down by HDNL again, delivery was 1 day later than promised.....usual stuff Amazon quotes hen ordering "order in the next xx hours for guaranteed delivery by such and such a date" HDNL then please themselves about delivery and with no information to go on "in transit" according to the tracking. Just as well we had some food left!Surely it is not too hard, if you say you are going to deliver by a certain date that is what I expect or at least some communication.Come on Amazon your name is getting trashed by using this crowd of unprofessional jokers can't even blame the weather this year!!!!

My Springers absolutely love Chudleys Working Crunch food. They have had it for years and never have they suffered with a bad stomach, unless they have eaten something from the fields. Their coat is shiny and as with all springers, it helps keep their energy levels up.Highly recommend this food for all dogs not just Springers.
