Baseltek NXC 4WD RC Rock Crawler Car RTR 1/10 Brushed Motor Electric Offroad

This is my second truck. I payed $92 delivered so I was not expecting it to be that good. It is faster but the speed control is jerky. I expected to upgrade some. The rear shocks had mismatching springs the front were weak. The body rubbed the wheels bad. I had to cut away the whole rear bed and most of the front end and fenders just to stop the rubbing. The axles and chasy are good as are the tires. the steering servo is an aluminum body and waterproof. I plan on replacing the ESC with a 60a one that you control the braking instead of braking automatically when you let off the throttle. It reduces the reverse by about 1/2 and increases the forward speed some. So I ordered a $25 esc, 4 130mm all aluminum shocks $20, and switched to 7.4v 5800mah battery that I already had. Even though the stock battery is pretty good. It just doesn’t last very long. So for less then $140 I have a great crawler. $60 more and I could have 4 wheel steering. I would recommend this for your first crawler.

A Few minor adjustments later and is a sweet crawler

Truck has way to much torque roll, body sits to low to the tires and gets caught on the tires. This is a 3rd party seller and they won't fix the problems with the jeep. Shocks are to soft. Customer service just wants you to send the jeep back for a refund instead of sending parts or fixing issues.

I don't know if its different but it seems to say on that side.Perfect bag for your buck. Whether starting out or just want something but don't want to spend a ton. Upgradeable to brushless if you want to spend the money.I recommend getting larger capacity batteries and a fast charger.

This is very similar to the Redcat Everest 10 and I was extremely impressed with the quality and durability of this truck. It performs flawlessly on rocks in the water and everywhere else my son has tested it. I highly recommend. Parts are almost all interchangeable with the Redcat gen 10.

I know the remote control power curve is too much to ask at this price point... But as it is, the throttle controls are WAY too jerky for a crawler. I can feather it for acceleration, but it's impossible to come back from full gas to a feather hold, so I end up locking up the wheels. The reverse is even worse. In other words, be prepared for a lot of jerky stop-n-goes... It's too bad, because it's actually a very capable platform that's ruined by crappy throttle/power curve. Returned.
