EXA Form 860i 30.9mm/31.6mm Dropper Post with Adjustable Suspension, 100mm/125mm/150mm Travel Seat Post with Lever Kit

The media could not be loaded. I wanted a dropper post for my Rocky Mountain hard tail. In reviewing choices I came across this air suspension dropper combo post. There aren’t currently many reviews on this product but I decided to take a chance and I am glad I did. The only Con would be the instructions are useless but if you are use to working on your own bike the installation is easy to figure out. I ordered the 125mm size as my bike is a small frame and it fit perfectly. The cable length was even cut perfectly. Installation was as easy as installing the lever routing the cable case through my frame and out the top of the seat post hole sliding the cable through the lever and in the case, connecting it to the dropper post actuator on bottom of the post and inserting the post and locking it down. The excess length will be pulled back through the frame and blends in perfectly with all the other break and shift cables at the front of the bike with perfect amount of slack. The performance is excellent. The dropper function is fast and responsive. The suspension function is the reason alone to buy this post. The suspension is controlled by an air chamber which comes pre charged and works perfectly right out of the box for someone of my weight (170# with hydration pack on. ). If you are a heavier rider and need to add more air pressure you will need to do this with the saddle removed and it requires a HP shock pump to do this. The suspension is just enough to take the harshness and bumps out of the trail without being so much travel that it is noticeable and affects your pedal stroke. I had the product long enough now to do about a dozen rides with it. The performance and quality seem great. I would definitely recommend this post to anyone looking for a quality dropper post with the added bonus of some cushion especially on a hard tail.

The dropper post arrived and is obviously been used as it has grease on the seatpost, has dirt and mud along the shaft seal and around the seat mount hardware. The hardware for mounting the seat shows signs of wear. Seems to be functional however I’d like a new unit.

I wanted a dropper for a hard tail MTB but wanted to soften the seating. This works really well. As it came the suspension air pressure worked well for my 135lbs and the dropper is super fast. Actually is one of the lighter weight droppers and the price is much better then all but the cheapest ones. So far so good.

I bought this for my hardtail which I ride mostly on bike paths, around town and some light trail use.The 'suspension' feature is something I was unfamiliar with, and it takes some getting used to, but I really like how it absorbs shock from bumps to make for smoother riding on uneven ground. The up-down on this post is smooth and effortless; at least while it's new it is.It was a little difficult to set up as the cable has to be routed through the remote lever before it is attached to the post itself. Most droppers are able to "pinch" the control cable at both ends, making it a lot easier to guestimate the length of cable housing. Had to do some math to find how much to cut the housing, and even then I don't love the length I ended up with.Also, the remote lever for this post is terrible. It is cheap plastic and doesn't function well. You have to slide it on from the bar end, which is annoying, and the adapter to receive the cable housing doesn't fit snugly so it rattles and bounces around while you ride. Plus, the adapter is where the barrel adjustment is, so if you don't want to use it (you don't have to) then your cable length better be PERFECT.Overall I'd suggest just buying a $20 aluminum dropper lever to save yourself some frustration. Otherwise, this post is a good product.

My joy for mountain biking went up several notches after I installed this dropper seat post. It is a necessary upgrade that can take your biking experience to the next level. I like the ability to adjust the seat height on the fly and the added suspension that comes with the seat post makes riding on bumpy surfaces bearable. This is an internally routed dropper post, which means the housing and cable for the dropper post should be routed inside the bike frame. This takes some skill and routing the cable inside my Giant Talon 2 bike frame was the most difficult part. But I got it to work in the end using a vacuum and a floss tied to one end of the housing. Some bikes are easier to route than others. There are several dropper seat post install videos on YouTube with different tips on how to route a housing through a bike frame.

My last one blew out. This is a great replacement. Just get it. It works well! And I love the air shock!

Have to remove the saddle to adjust the air pressure so it's a huge pain to dial this in. Worth it to spend more for a better design if you want the suspension aspect.

These are great as I am getting old and trying to get my leg over the seat is not easy anymore. Male sure you purchase the right size, make sure you measure your seatpost opening before ordering
