Hakko611-2 Dual Solder Reel Stand, Black

The Hakko solder holder has become an indispensable part of my soldering setup, and I couldn't be happier with its performance. Its dual-roll capacity, accommodating both 1.1mm and 0.3mm Kester solder, has streamlined my work, eliminating the need for multiple holders. For years I just let my spools of solder sit on the surface of my bench. I survived and so did the solder. But there were times I'd get the loose strand of highly conductive solder tangled in various things already present in the working area and the opportunity for an electrical short circuit was a high possibility. But the size solder was very small and a short would probably just melt it, acting as a fuse.But I wanted to have two diameters of solder readily at hand for some new projects and that meant even more chances of an electrical "OOPS", and the larger gauge solder wouldn't melt fuse-like as easily as the small, 0.025" diameter that's been my go-to solder for years.This Hakko solder stand was discovered accidentally via a 'Suggested for you' presentation here on Amazon. The size, two-spool capacity, previous experience with Hakko products and price made the decision to buy very easy.The stand stays put. The solder is up and out of the way of my bench surface. The stand is solid, easy to place a spool in and easy to reel in any excess solder that may invade the working area once the soldering is done. I can't complain about any aspect of the stand - it works perfect.

Ingenious design, sturdy, rubber bumper on bottom - perfect little solder holder

This is a top quality solder reel that holds two reels at once. The solder can feed from either side of the reel an the wire guide for each holds the solder tail in place. I have very fine SMD solder on one reel and wider general purpose solder on the other. Takes up less bench space and means I can get what i need faster. The product itself is extremely thick steel, nicely painted and with a rubber boot on the bottom for grip. It stays exactly where you put it. The handle is strong and well made so it's easy to move around when you need to. It can be ESD safe if required with pre-drilled holes for earth strap. As solder reels go this is about as good as it's possible to get

This is a good, simple, sturdy addition to my soldering station. wish I'd bought one years ago.

Very stable, sturdy and heavy. Has a capacity for 2 rolls of solder. Easy to use and easy to assemble, it's worth the cost.

Solidly built solder wire reel. I was looking for something to hold my solder wire while I work and this fits the bill nicely.No wobble, the metal is a good thickness, and there is non-slip rubber on the bottom. One nice thing I didn't know about is that there is a optional grounding screw on the base plate, good for ESD sensitive work. I like the space saving two level design. Great Hakko quality as usual.Easily handles two of my 1lb rolls of solder wire. No issues with using 0.032" or 0.020" diameter wire. A nice addition to the lab. Looks like it can handle even bigger rolls, there is extra clearance on the sides and top/bottom of the rolls if you look at my photos.
