One of the best purchases we've made.
Overall this thing is great. It fits nicely over our engraver and allows us to vent the fumes safely outside. No more open windows and doors! Must have if you're using a laser indoors. The only complaint I have is the connectors. They are weak. When assembling I applied too much pressure when pushing in a rods and one snapped. It was a easy replacement however using my 3d printer.

Does a good job, but.........
I ordered this because of the good revues it had gotten and found that, for the most part, they were true. My main reason for not giving it a 5 star rating is because the connectors are rather weak. During assembly of the frame, I found the connectors would break when attaching the rods to them. It requires a bit of pressure to fully insert the rods into the connectors, so be very careful when you assemble it. Other than that, it has worked out great for me. I run the fan off a usb port on by laptop, and it exhausts the smoke and fumes very well. Overall, it's a great enclosure and should serve the purpose it's intended to with ease.

Works well, easy to assemble. Up and running in about 10 minutes.
Very nice laser cover. Using with AtomStack X20 Pro with air assist. 400 x 400 work area and laser fit with room to spare. Highly recommend. Does a good job of exhausting smoke with built in fan and duct.

Ya, so I broke pieces putting it together
I'm not saying it's my worst purchase as it does cover my laser. I didn't ask for a replacement because I made it work. The plastic pieces that come with the frame break extremely easily. It takes some pressure to push the pieces together to make the frame fit within the surround and while attempting to make it fit in the surround two of the plastic connector broke and had to be taped back together with strong tape. The fan is not only loud but possibly has a short in the connection. I was able to get it set up and plugged it in for it to not work. I was able to jiggle it around and it finally came on. It is not something I leave plugged in. I'm not sure of the capability of the fan to empty the smoke from the surround, although from the sound of the thing you'd think it would empty the whole room of air.

Weak frame parts broke during assembly
So, this containment system would be fine, except that the little plastic connector parts for the frame broke during assembly. I put the frame together and pushed the 2-rod sections together with the little plastic connectors as far as I could. Once I had the frame together, I tried to put the cover over it and it wouldn’t fit. So, I tried to push the rods together a little tighter so the frame wwould be a little smaller. But, the cover was still a really tight fit…so tight that 2 of the little plastic connector pieces broke. Now I have a cruddy busted frame under the cover. It will still work, but I would definitely look for something else in the future.

Fan diesnt work at all
I received my package yesterday. I unpackaged and assembled it lastnight. Everything went together smoothly without any problems. Then came time to plug the fan in and make sure it worked. Unfortunately, that was a huge no go. Brand new enclosure and can’t even use it because the exhaust fan doesn’t work. What a huge disappointment!

Nice enclosure
Does just about everything I want. Fan is good enough to keep unit clear of most smoke and out the window. Only thing I would change is the height, it is a bit short for using a camera, I do have a 120 fisheye in it and it works but is right up against the plastic. I may raise it up a few inches to stop that. Other than that this is a good value and got me up and running quickly. The tinted plastic does work well for my 5w diode and is good enough to block most harmful light but I still wear glasses when ever the laser is on.

Not very sturdy
Well not very sturdy; the poles could be thicker, the instruction are very sparseits definitely not worth the price It was very tight to pull over the frame; I snapped one of the joining rod connectors and had to stick with glueI cant personally recommend this -sorry

Great value!
I purchased this enclosure for the laser engraver I purchased and the assembly was quick and easy. I did break one of the straight connector pieces (completely my fault), so a couple of additional ones included would be beneficial. I 3d printed a new connector so be careful on how hard you push the rods into the connectors. It is a very tight fit for the outer shell to completely go to the ground and with the plastic connectors, using the velcro strap to hold it down slightly bends up the support bars so there is a small gap at the bottom on the long edges (front & back).

Works

If you are looking to Blow the Stink out This is not for you!
If you are trying to extract the fumes etc the fan is rubbish!! it sucks nothing out! I have ordered a stronger blower and will try attaching that. see how that goes. Aside from that I'm happy with the quality. It is strong enough the window is a little unwieldy I use a rope to hold it up while I'm messing around. The extraction is the deal breaker for me. if my new blower doesn't help I think its going back!
