This attachment fits my KitchenAid perfectly. Much easier to use then using a hand one. I like the multi size attachments for shredding. Easy cleanup.

I was very hesitant to get another attachment for my KitchenAid because trying to use attachments in the past has been difficult, time consuming, and very hard to clean. I did not want to grate 3 lb of cheese for Christmas Mac by hand and broke down and got this product.I was amazed at how well it functioned, and how easy it was to clean up. The ring that keeps the greater inside the cone will only fit if the grading tone is fully inserted. There is a gear at the back that has to match up. That is the only real setup. I graded three textures of cheeses (sharp cheddar, Colby jack, and mozzarella). Each one was easy for the machine to grate but I did notice that greetings slowly on stir or one was more successful for the moisture cheeses. By going slow I did not have a lot of residue build up in between the cone and the insert.I did wash the and feed her that attaches directly to the KitchenAid by hand, but everything else I've washed in the dishwasher without issue. The package does come with a cleaning brush to help get into crevices, but after using the pasta extruder (nice but very hard to clean) this cheese grater attachment is a piece of cake.My household loves shredded cheese, and we always buy it pre-shredded. I have made a space on my counter to keep my KitchenAid out so we can always have fresh shredded cheese now. It is the best thing I've bought for my KitchenAid.

This set features 3 different sized graters, and one chipping cutter. And also comes with a small cleaning brush. I will never buy store bought hashbrowns again. Lol. Come to think of it, I may just grate my own cheese while I'm at it.We are using the Kitchenaid 5 quart Bowl-Lift stand mixer with this set. The set attaches easily, and detaches easily too. The cutter cups lock in place with a screw type cap. Lock to the Left, loosen to the right.If you purchase this set, enjoy it.This set was designed for these Kitchenaid mixers. It is not a kitchenaid name brand product.Update since first use:This product is great. We've used it several times to shred cheese that we get in 8lb blocks. What an excellent job it does. Slicing potatoes for Augraten style works very well, and efficiently. If you were thinking about purchasing this product, you won't be disappointed.

I don't often write reviews, but this attachment set has performed so well, I can't not write one. I was a little put off by some negative reviews but decided to see for myself. This tool attaches effortlessly and works well. I've had it since January and have used it at least weekly since then. I've shredded carrots, radishes, and breadcrumbs, both dry and fresh. I've also shredded cheeses and today did a bit on celery and onion. I haven't even used the slicer yet and still this is my go-to accessory. A few reviews stated the housing broke off after a few uses. The housing is quite steady and all the parts appear to be well made. If I'm shredding something sturdy like carrots, I use my hand to support the bottom of the attachment just as a precaution. I'm very pleased with product and would not hesitate gifting one to my cooking loving friends. Take the chance, you'll love it too.

I bought this to mainly grate blocks of cheese and always have fresh cheese in the freezer. Believe me, it works fantastic. Much easier for me to use. I love Kitchen Aid. Saves money and great to eat.

Well made, and does a pretty good job. It’s not exactly a food processor replacement but is good enough for basic shredding and slicing. The feeder is large enough as long as you cut your ingredients into manageable sizes. The cone does tend to fill up sometimes so you may have to pull some shreds out after you turn off the mixer. The main hopper attaches well to the mixer and seems sturdy. It does discolor from carrots, etc.

The media could not be loaded. We love how this saves us so much time! We’ve only used it so far to grate cheese, but we will for sure use the other blades. It’s easy to install and easy to clean. It came nicely packaged with the blades individually covered. For less price, it works great and probably the same as the branded version. We won’t be using our manual grater anymore! Definitely recommend.

it is nice for the price! perfect for cheese and carrots! i tried to slice cucumbers but it didn't cut nicely.. too thin and not properly sliced. i needed it mainly for cheese so I am happy with the product..

Very good quality, works like a charm. Fits easily into the kitchen and mixer. Only glitch was one of the attachment had a clear, thin plastic lining that came apart as we were using it. We managed to remove it and then worked perfectly.

Got it for my mom she loves it it grates hard cheeses like Romano cheese well.
