1400 mile Uhaul trip
Used this to adapt a uhaul 2 inch ball to fit my 2 5/16 car hauler with a side by side. Worked great.

This is a rebranded weighsafe adapter.
I have a weighsafe clamshell for one of my trucks, as I frequently use a pintle combo ball, and I don't like changing the entire coupler out when I need to pull a 2-5/16 trailer.I picked this up for another truck, as the weighsafe was out of stock. This one is more expensive, but it is actually a rebranded weighsafe adapter - the packaging mine came in even included the weighsafe logo bag. Its a small faux leather bag to store it.My original weighsafe is actually magnetic, and neither this one the current version of the weighsafe seem to be.As far as use, easy as can be, but you don't want to leave it on without a trailer, as it may fall off, but when a trailer is hooked up, you wouldn't know it's there. Keep in mind, the tow capacity is limited to your 2" ball rating, which can be pretty low if its a small shank.

Worked well for rental truck with 2” welded ball
My car trailer is a 2-5/16” ball, rental trucks have a 2” ball welded to the truck. Only way to pull my trailer without changing the coupler was this. And it’s an excellent idea.I breaded inside and outside prior to use, and zero problems for a 1500 mile trip. This will be very handy when the need for it arises again.Keep in mind, this won’t raise your towing ability, I was well within the safety range of towing with a 2” ball, my car trailer for some reason has the larger size coupler.

Works for Penske Rental
Rented a Penske truck to help friends move from Washington to South Carolina. Penske comes with a 2” ball welded in place and couldn’t have made the move without it. If you’re renting a Penske and considering moving a trailer this is essential.

It’s pretty cool! It works, but I wouldn’t leave it on the ball unless you have a trailer hooked up.

Fits and held up for 4000 km trip across Canada.
Bought this to get me through a move. I own several 2 5/16 hitches but using them on a uhaul is an issue. My trails loaded weight was around 7000lbs so a true 2 5/16 setup wasn’t required. Not signs of wear when I unhooked the trailer.

The only thing is the ball you put it on has to have the flat toped ball out side of it that it dose what it says
