He has a bad back and said he slept well and back did not suffer . It is well made and folds it’s not as long as the bed but we moved it down a few inches to be able to support from shoulders down . The thickness of the reinforced wood boards, within the protective covering, make it impossible to feel the crossbars inside the sleeper frame. The product boards run perpendicular to the frame, and are easy to place/remove. The support board folds like a fan, making it easy to store, taking up little closet space. We experienced no sliding of the mattress on the protective cover. Between the two of us, about 400 pounds was on the bed, and both of us were comfortable.
