Pup Light, Black

As the owner of an all-black and very hairy dog lights that won't get lost under piles of fur are essential, and this is the brightest and best I've ever seen - actually lights the pavement in front a fair way, and when dog is offlead it's easy to see exactly where he is. Not the cheapest but it's been bashed around and been in heavy rain with no issues so seems quality - uses standard AAA batteries too so cheap to run. It's bulky so might not be the best for very small dogs but it's perfect for my dog and me, love it!

I have to walk both of my dogs in the dark and have flashing collars and harness lights plus my head torch. However one of my dogs is elderly and I had read that her vision would not be as good as a younger dog. She had been occasionally stumbling over the uneven ground (we live in the country). Since I put the Pup Light on her collar, she has seemed more confident and I suspect it is because she can now see the ground in front of her. In addition, when we do get onto pavements, I feel happy that drivers can readily see both of my dogs. I attached the Pup Lights to their existing collars and the distance it lights is excellent - especially since both dogs are collies with longish coats. Shame these are not rechargeable.

Item lasted less than a month. While the light itself was well made, bright and damp proof, the clip that attaches the light to the collar was not secure and the light came off twice in the month I had it. It also got turned off a couple of times when the dog was wearing it so on/off switch placement is less than ideal. The light finally fell off while my dog went through a gorse thicket. She came out on the other side with the stretchy collar around her middle and the light had been pulled off. Will not be using collars on her again as she could have choked (glad the collar is very stretchy!) This item is one of the better dog lights for walks and for less adventurous dogs but will have to find a different product for my girl to run her at night off lead. If the switch was on the back or top and there clip was secure and/or was able to attach it to a harness would buy again with enthusiasm. As it is, may get one for on lead walks but will have to find another light for off lead adventures.

This is the equivalent of a headlight on a car, but for your dog. My lab loves it, and it is very practical in our dark garden. Have also used it on the odd occasion I take him out on the lead for a night walk. It throws a nice bright light forward so both owner and dog can see where dog is going, also a circle of light around so owner has some idea of surroundings for safety etc. Very practical and a good buy in my opinion.

Unit shipped from US but only took a few days. Very good price and it's the mark 2 version. Comes with no batteries and takes 3 aaa which is annoying when packs of batteries come in fours (add the extra battery give me even more runtime it would make so little difference to size and weight). Easy to use with supplied collar or by fixing onto dogs existing collar, we found using the extra collar and front ring harness hard as it keep reposition light angle, placing on existing collar fixed this. The three leds put out an enormous amount of light and make evening walk far easier, our easily reactive dog seems far calmer as a bonus he's also far easier to spot at a distance.

Used this A LOT with our dog over the 3 winters. It has made a huge difference to our winter walks, meaning our Springer can get out when it is dark and wet. Good battery life and robust too. It has been out in all weather and works perfectly.

Fantastic light for the dark nights, my dog could see where she was going while playing in unlit fields and I could see her, great. Sadly last night while playing she was suddenly plunged into darkness, luckily I had another torch with me and found her, the reason was the front of the torch had fallen off and the batteries had fallen out, it was too dark to find the missing pieces. I would like to return it for a replacement but I no longer have the packaging or collar that came with it, unfortunately there is no 'contact seller' email address for me to discuss with them, it was great while it was working but far too expensive if it is only going to last a few weeks.

I haven't used it yet but, the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars as I believe that it's a 'copy'. The reason I think this is because of the terrible grammar on the instructions. (See photo).

Love the brightness and adjustability of the light as well as the size. My dog wears medium collars and this adjusts to fit her perfectly. It shines down when my dog’s head is down but she’s learned to lift her head up to point the light up and look around. If you’re worried about replacing batteries all the time, don’t. This is my second one (I stepped on the first one after using it for about 6 years) and I can’t believe how long the batteries last using Energizers. It’s also handy on night walks and provides light for both of us. Very durable too. The one I stepped on didn’t break any of the plastic parts but one of the three lights went out. Still could’ve continued using it but wanted to upgrade to the new brighter lights. It’s crazy bright, so also good for safety. My dog likes it and waits for me to put it on her when she goes out at night.

Introduced by my dog’s eye specialist and it’s brilliant! My dog is 13 years old, has lost an eye and had cataract surgery on the other eye so night walks were a real struggle. He can now walk in full speed with the lighting and kind of serves as a torch for me too!

I live in a very isolated area that is very dark at night. I purchased two of these lights for my dogs and I love it. I can see the dogs and the dogs help me light my way. I do find that it does consume battery power quickly for being LED lights. Great purchase comes with an caller extension for bigger dogs. You and your pups won't be disappointed.

This is a sturdy collar. It is very bright and lights up nicely. Feel safe and comfortable when I am walking the dog in the dark, it was easy to put the batteries in. Is able to be lengthened or shortened depending on the size of the dog. My dog has a thick coat right now and it fits him very well. Come summer time will be able to shorten in to make it fit better.

Used this for after dark walks. Primarily for safety. The dog becomes so excited when he sees the collar. At first he tried to follow the light which was fun to watch...you need to take care that the light is pointing forward. Used frequently. Easy to put in batteries.
