Best of the best!
This book is like a bible for behaviour within your classroom. With easy read (non jargon) helped me to understand children's feelings and emotions within my setting and how I can best support all children to achieve their own personal best!A book all teaching staff could do with on their shelf. The author is inspirational with her approach, refreshing to read a teachers perspective on the importance of a child well-being within education.

Behaviour: The Lost Modules
I love this book because it’s written by an actual, practising teacher and it’s not stuffy, pedagogy jargon. It’s real, relatable and useable. As Jen says in the introduction, we’re not actually taught how to manage a classroom at university, we just get thrown in and pick stuff up along the way. This book has some useful insights into why children can present certain behaviours and how we as teachers can manage it effectively. I’ll definitely be sharing this book with student teachers to help them build their confidence when managing a classroom and I’ll try out some of Jen’s tips to develop my own strategies.

Fantastic book in changing your behaviour mindset!
My book arrived today and I’m 3 chapters in already. I can feel my brain asking more questions and them getting answered as I turn the page! This book so far is fantastic in breaking down behaviour and more importantly changing our thinking. I feel like this book is helping me unpick strategies and language used in the past and question why we have been using them. This book is so forward thinking and written beautifully. I love how easy it is to read and packed with humour too (so it’s not all serious!). Well done Jen for a book I’d say all educators need to read!!!!

What an amazing book! 😍
This book is truly inspirational and exceptionally crafted. From the elegant cover – very posh, well done! – to its helpful content, every page I turn reveals something new to learn. I especially appreciate the check-in strategy; initially, I thought it could only benefit SEND children, but I’m eager to try it with my entire class. I hope it will help me identify possible behaviors and provide support. Thank you for this gem of a book. It’s written in such a friendly and open manner that it’s truly a delight to read ☺️

‘What if my teachers had known all this?’
To put it simply…. AMAZING!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️So I’m not a massive reader (shocking I know) but this book is made for anyone to pick up and breeze through - promise! It’s written on such a personal chatty level and it’s so interactive!I LOVE how it’s so engaging with activities and diagrams. You are given opportunities to relate all the knowledge and research to real life experiences! I just keep imagining ‘What if my teachers had known this!?’ Things would’ve been so different for me!I’ve learnt so much already and I’ve not even finished. I’ve been reflecting on EVERYTHING but it all comes so easy because of the way Jen explains it!I really struggle to put it down and KNOW I’ll be referring back to certain chapters in the classroom.Definitely not just for teachers it’s for anyone interested in learning and understanding our minds!10/10 Amazingly well written!📚

Absolutely essential reading.
I absolutely love this book by Jen Foster. Every single page has something to reflect on about your practice and it all makes a lot of sense (and is backed up by research). I also appreciate Jen's non-judgemental tone (and humour!) A must-have for those working with children and one book I'll continue to refer back to.

Behaviour - The Lost modules
An absolutely brilliant book that has completely enhanced my practice in school. So many strategies and ideas to use immediately, that have had such an impact on my own practice and the children that I learn and grow with everyday. I highly recommend this book. Brilliant read. Jen this has been a game changer for me.

Every teacher should have a copy.
Wish I’d known this 13 years ago when I started teaching. Some of the ideas I was doing anyway but it was good to have affirmation that I was doing the right thing. Lots of new strategies to try too. Highly recommended.

Must read for new educators
I wish I had this book my first year of teaching (18 years ago). I highly recommend it to anyone looking for help or support with behavior in the classroom. This book is not new information to me. Much like Jen Foster, the author, I started teaching without a lot of training regarding behavior. My first kindergarten students brought such violent and dangerous behaviors to our room, and I was not trained to handle any of it. I looked to the supposed experts around me, those who had more experience than I, my teammates, our administration, the special education department, the school psychologist. No one had any ideas what to do. Just like the author, I quickly realized I had to become the expert. I jumped to sign up for every training and read all the books I could find: Whole Brain Teaching, Dr. Becky Bailey and Conscious Discipline, Dan St. Romain, PBIS (which has been implemented so poorly in the school system, most educators deemed it ineffective without having access its most valuable research). With this book, Jen has done a wonderful job compiling the research for you. She sums up everything and makes it understandable and easily accessible for a quick read. She is honest when she says she can’t give you all the answers, but she gives you the map and the directions to get you on the proper path to success.I wish the images in the book were larger and in color. Some of them are difficult to read because they are light gray. The font/spacing of the lines is not the same as other books in print. I had to use a book mark to track the lines as I was reading. The book (just look at the title) is written in British English. I “learnt” a lot about the differences in our language. I found the variations in terminology endearing.

Teacher Must Have
This is a book every teacher needs. I wish this could be on the book list for uni students. It’s informative, relatable and the reflection tasks are fantastic. I also feel parents would find it helpful.

What took me so long to read this?
I’ve been following Jen on Instagram for about a year now. I admire her approach on behavior and her quick and simple tricks to regain control of the classroom. Her instagram videos immediately made me become a member of The Good Morning Club! Wow an entire encyclopedia of how I get down to the nitty gritty of behavior, uh YES PLEASE!!! This summer I found out she wrote a book and duh I had to purchase. I promised to write a review only after I read the first chapter. One chapter in and holy cannoli it is written in such a way that puts psychology classes to shame for making concepts so complex (I can say that with confidence since I do have a BA in psychology). If I’m already hooked after chapter one I can only imagine what I’ll be by the end! Jen, you are a behavior guru! I am so glad I found someone like you to guide me in my teaching journey. Going on year 11 and I know this was a missing piece in my teaching puzzle!
