X10 Powermid Infrared Extender Cable

I purchased multiple sets of Powermids for use in my house, as well as this emitter extender/multiplier, and they work great. Be advised that you can only have one system per house, because if there is more than one receiver, any signal from a transmitter affects both receivers. So, if you have two equipment setups using two different receivers, they will both be affected by any transmitter. I had to use two Logitech Harmony 900s and one Powermid setup to eliminate the problem, as I have three independent equipment setups (TV, receiver, etc...) in the house.I actually use one cable box with an HDMI splitter and Powermid receiver with four Powermid transmitters to control four separate TVs in the kitchen and upstairs three bedrooms. We are not usually in more than one place, so the shared cable box is usually not a problem. But, the four TVs all are also hooked up to an HD TV antenna and networked, so if my wife and I are both using two of those four TVs, we can still get a choice of HD TV, Netflix, stc...

I bought the accessory com Powermid X10 PM5900 Remote Control Extender Kit - Includes a Transmitter and Receiver but I did not served as the X10 PM5900 Powermid Remote Control Extender Kit - Includes a Transmitter and Receiver does not work well.thanks for nothing

These extender cables work with several wireless remote extenders I have been using.These enable me to place the remote receivers inside my media cabinets and run the cable (with an LED at the end) to illuminate the sensor on each media device.

I don't understand how you're supposed to attach this to the box. The LED sticks out from the front of the case making it impossible to mount the device flat against the front of the cable box. The adhesive is on the back of the device, which makes no sense to me. What do they expect you to stick it to? If I stick it to the cable box, the LED will be facing away from the box. When held in the right position it works, but I can't figure out how to permanently mount it.

I bought this to use with the new Comcast X1 box (PX001ANM/Pace XG1). It didn't work. I'm sure it works great with other boxes. But it's hard to determine when this may or may not work without actually buying it and trying it.

It works so I don't get cross talk to another device in the same cabinet then the main Powermid can be masked.

I have used this product for over 5 years now and it is the best money I have spent. It has no problems going through walls so you can easily hide all of your unsightly electronics. I have it stationed on the other side of a standard four inch wall and there are no signal issues. And because it plugs in, you never have to worry about replacing the batteries. For anyone wishing to clean up the look of your shelving or bookcase, this is the way to go. Did I mention I have never had a problem with either unit? Dependability nowadays is few and far between but not with this item. I did also purchase the X10 Powermind Infrared Extender Cable since I placed most of my electronics very high up and out of the way. I have the same exact review for it since I bought both items at the same time.
