TABLE - This is nice looking coffee table with good features for a good price. The lift top, drawers and side magazine racks all look and work well. The lift-top main surface is thin but adequate. You need to lift the top from the center or both sides. It feels like it may break if you try to lift it from only one side.ASSEMBLY- The main method of assembly uses the headed studs with cam disks. (Screw the studs into a surface, then put those studs into a hole on the mating part, then push a cam disk into a perpendicular shallow hole to engage the head of that stud. Finally you rotate the cam disks about 180 degrees to tighten. Now do that about 40 times) I generally like to put furniture together accept when this is the chosen fastener method. Its time consuming and horrible in my opinion. Anyone who has had to use cam discs in the past will understand what I mean. Standard screws are so much better and easier to use. Although there are some of those too. It took me over 4 hours. Good Luck :)

First off, the assembly.I think any furniture you put together yourself will take a few hours. This coffee table is no exception. Putting things together is my career as a 20yr structural aircraft mechanic.Only difference is I have no pre-drilled holes to use. I have to use a print to locate all my parts.It still took me 4hrs to put together. But it was worth it!The lower rated reviews are about the assembly.Buckle down and do it anyway, you'll be happy with the finished product.I did the whole assembly by myself until I got to the lift top, you will need someone to hold it while you screw it in. Put something like a stack of books to balance one side...you're helper will thank you.This product is well made and sturdy. I now have an adult coffee table lol.The rustic brown color was better than expected...compared to picture on my laptop.Overall I am happy with my purchase and have no regrets.

This coffee table is very very cheaply made. Assembly is a nightmare. Took 2 of us who have a lot of xperience with DIY furniture 5 hrs to assemble and every time I try to lift the top I think it's going to come off in my hands. Lifts unevenly and don't even try to lift the top with one hand. A waste of money and effort. I would give this no stars if I could.

Very good quality coffee table. Love the side compartments. We use them to store wine bottles. We use this to play board games because it elevates to a perfect height to prevent straining down on a normal coffee table. Also LOVE the soft close of the lid! Didn’t know that was a feature but that alone made me motivated to write a review!

It wouldn't be so bad but the instructions look like they were done by a second grader no written instructions just pictures and numbers not good at all but with that been said it has lot of storage for the money

The people who have said this took about five hours to build were not lying. However, it’s definitely worth it. For some reason they gave two instruction manuals, but there was a typo on one of the instruction books. Which caused the wheels on the drawer to be installed backwards. We fixed it afterwards once we found the book with the right instructions. I had two other people look at both instruction books to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. Another thing we’ve noticed was the screw that went on the panel that lifts up, they were melted and bonded together. We were unable to pry them apart no matter how hard we tried. Other than the instruction manual incident, screws being stuck together, and it taking five hours… BUY IT! It’s worth it in the end. Perfect purchase!
