compact reliable high quality.
Been checking this out for months. I'm a flashlight fanatic. I own a fenix and have mostly Nebo in different varieties. So far the worst part is the learning curve for the functions. Lots of button pushing sequences for both the main LED and the side LEDs. But like most things on this order once you get it it's ingrained in your brain. But it is important for this light because if you don't do the four pushes and carry this in your pocket it's very easy to push the light on by accident and the four button push sequence locks the light from going on accidentally. Other than that this light is so freaking bright and tiny it's astounding. I didn't realize how small the unit was until it arrived and it's really about the size of a Zippo lighter but a little thinner and it seems rugged and it's already fallen into puddles two times just a month with no signs of any problem. It was definitely more expensive than a lot of other smaller flashlights but I'm pretty sure it was well worth it because it's been performing great just in the past month. battery life is... I don't think I've even charged it one time except for the first day. I just realized I haven't ever charged it yet so battery life must be pretty darn good.

Excellent little pocket light
I consider this to be the ultimate EDC light. Intuitively designed and easy to use. The flat shape fits perfectly in your pocket and you will forget its even there. An extra slot for a replaceable battery means it will never be dead when you don't have a charger on hand. Moonlight mode is invaluable and you will miss it on lights that don't have it. Not to mention you can use this as a tiny lantern and a cap light. Don't be fooled by the size. This light is incredibly bright as well. The versatility of this is endless and I have yet to find a light so packed with features. This is well worth the cost. I cannot recommend it enough.

Bright and Useful
Wasn't sure how much use I would actually get out of this item as I intended just to throw it in my backpack. That being said I find myself using it multiple times a week. Extremely bright and the battery life is decent as well. I can highly recommend this flashlight!

Great product, but get the High CRI version
This is a great light, very versatile, and the flat design makes it easy to carry in the pocket, or even on a keychain. The dual battery feature is great as well.As far as build quality, everything seems great. I did notice some differences in the tolerances for the AAA battery slot and the tightness of the battery compartment latch between multiple units, but nothing that made the product unusable. My only complaint is the color of the main LEDs. Cool white isn't my first choice in color temperature, but it's ok. My biggest problem with this light is that the cool white / non high-cri variant has a green tint. This combined with the already cool color temperature made it uncomfortable for me to use.I ultimately ended up returning this light and getting the E7 with the high CRI LEDs (couldn't find a high-cri E5 on amazon) and I couldn't be happier. Sure it's not quite as bright on turbo, but the light quality is SO much better. I can see colors and details so much easier with the high-CRI light than the cool white / non high-cri version.Tl;DR - Great light, but make sure you get a high-CRI version.

strong but very small
This flashlight is pretty awesome. Has several different modes, but can be a bit difficult to remember how to get into every mode. Also the built-in battery doesn't seem to last very long, especially when using the UV light. However it does take an additional battery, I will probably get a lithium battery for it. Also its so small I tend to misplace it. Slightly too big for my keychain but very nice and compact.

The sun in your pocket...
The RovyVon E8 is a very capable EDC light with a lot of features. Maybe too many. The main function, that of being a flashlight with you when you need one, works great. A press and hold of the top button will give you light. Stepping through the 3 levels, and depending on which power source you are using, gives you even more light. It is crazy bright when using the internal battery. I know, I said that like there was more than one option. There is! Open the bottom and drop a AAA in there, and if the internal rechargeable is depleted and with a hard to remember, odd number of button clicks, and you can change over to the AAA battery for backup power. You will not get as many lumens in the bright settings, but you will still have plenty of light.Moral of the story... do NOT simply toss the instructions away until you have a basic knowledge of how many clicks of each button do what.Moving on to the lower button gets you a dim side light which is fine in a dark tent or whatever. Another gets you a little brighter, more presses gets you a red light, and even more presses gets you flashing blue/red, the purpose of which escapes me. But should you ever which to try and convince someone you are the Po-Po by flashing your little keychain flashlight at them, you do you.Would I get another one? No. There are other options that are not as odd, but just as bright. Do I regret getting this one? No. It performs its stated main task quite well and in the same price point as others in the same lumens output, all the quirkiness aside. It is still a bright, capable EDC light.

Amazing little flashlight
Works perfectly for those wanting a small yet well built flashlight. To me, the side lights are just a bonus. Insanely bright for its size, although be aware, the higher brightness levels are more or less intended for short use, unless you plan to charge often or burn though a LOT of AAA batteries. Also, I had no idea before purchasing, but there are parts of this flashlight that are made with glow in the dark material. Not that using the flashlight does anything itself. I just happened to notice after leaving it sitting in direct sunlight.

Most impressive, smallest light I’ve owned
This light has to be the biggest punch in the smallest package. I’ve owned dozens of flashlights over the years, and this one is by far the most surprising. It’s truly keychain sized, and feels incredibly durable. The option of either rechargeable or disposable battery means this light can be used in any situation or emergency. I have not yet had to charge it in a few weeks, using it nightly while walking my dog frequently checking where she is sniffing, the far tree lines looking for eyeshine off predators, finding the things I need to pick up, etc. The brightness off the main light puts many full sized flashlights to shame, with notable heat from the intensity if you shine it a couple inches above skin. Despite this the light doesn’t get hot too fast, though it will if you keep it on continuously. The side light is convenient for more ambient use and doesn’t get hot. The single most unique feature of this light is the glow in the dark plastic body. The built in UV light in the side light panel allows you to quickly charge the plastic to an impressively bright initial glow, and fades out slowly over time. This is perfect for blackouts, or completely lightless situations where it will be hard to find the flashlight. You can charge it before going to bed and it should still have a faint glow if you need it through the night. The lock feature is perfect if you’re throwing the flashlight in your bag or pocket and don’t want it accidentally activated, easy to lock and unlock with fast button clicks. Truly a unique flashlight for such an impressively small device. On the slightly more expensive side, but worth every penny in my opinion.

Amazing tiny flashlight
Incredibly powerful for its size, multiple brightness modes, works great, decent battery life, works well on a AAA too.Buttons are too easy to press and aren't protected. I'm constantly finding it turned on in my pockets and bags.

Forte Et excellente
