Superior to less expensive cutters for hardwood
When cutting hardwood these cut quicker and produced less burning than cheaper ones that I bought at the same time. I compared the performance of these cutters to a similar profile from a variety set of 10 less expensive cutters. For hard maple these cutters were noticeably better than the cheaper ones, giving a smother cut and a faster cut without burning. For softer materials there was less of a difference. I didn't try metal or stone. It's important to note that the shank is 3 mm, which is less than 1/8 inch. For some tools this doesn't matter. However, for precision collets use a 3mm not a 1/8 in to avoid slippage. For example, the Proxxon rotary tool comes with both collet sizes.Frankly, it's nice to have the variety set for hobby purposes, but in the future I'll buy these when I need a specific cutter.

Good in Wood but shank is undersized
These work well in my new Dremel 4000 on wood. Smooth cuts and no burning.Fits in my 1/8" collet but the 3.0mm shank is noticeably undersized (by about 1/128"). While this poses no problem with a brand new collect, I worry it may slip in one that is older or slightly worn.

Good little tool
I did get this on a promotion so let’s get that out of the way first…Opened it up and used it for the first time today to add a textured look to some metal (I make knives.) worked beautifully. Great little tool to have around!
