Worth it for the built in zoom
I had a canon Powershot Xs10 in the past and was very happy with it until it got old and stopped working optimally. Then I replaced it with a Canon Rebel t6, which I was very unhappy with, mostly because it did not zoom and the attachment zoom lens was crap (especially for the cost). So I sold it and bought this, which appeared to be an upgraded model of my old powershot.I got exactly what I expected - it is like an improved model of the xs10. There is a bit of graininess I did not get with the Rebel DSLR, but the zoom is incredible for its size and for the fact that there is no separate zoom lens. it takes very nice photos. It definitely does best in bright light - the quality especially grainy indoors with low lighting. So I'd recommend it for something like vacation photos or nature photos. Or indoors with bright lighting.I cannot report on the video function as I have not tried it.

Great for the novice
This is a high quality camera with much more functionality than I can use. It is relatively user friendly, for a novice. I am using it for CrossFit competition videos and it is excellent- the slomo review capability is really helpful for post-workout analysis. Like many other reviewers I could not get the wifi to work but it is easy to pull out the memory card and put it in my computer.Great purchase.

... it to Alaska and the pictures have turned out great. Easy to use
Just took it to Alaska and the pictures have turned out great. Easy to use, lots of features. Biggest fault is that it does not have an viewer for your eye. Viewing a shot from the screen requires holding the camera away from your face and makes keeping the camera still more difficult. Some high zoom shots can come out a little fuzzy.

Great little camera
I bought this camera to take on a recent trip to New Zealand. It took great pictures and was very easy to operate. I tend to just use my iPhone for photos but it doesn’t have the zoom that you want for lots of shots. This camera was small enough to carry along and use when the scene called for it. I’m glad I bought it.

Was easy to use
Was easy to use. I love digital cameras and this one has a nice focal zoom. Took the picture from about 75 feet away. I wish I would have gotten the 40x zoom but this one is nice.
