The metal filter is an extremely fine mesh cylinder that contains coarse ground coffee very well
First, let's talk about the construction of the Eilde Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker. The metal filter is an extremely fine mesh cylinder that contains coarse ground coffee very well. The key is to pay attention to the water level while filling, particularly when the carafe is nearly full. The carafe is nicely constructed of thick glass and should stand up to years of daily use. The lid is metal with a silicone sealing ring to prevent leaks even when fully inverted. The koozie appears nicely constructed with a belt or carabiner loop suitable for attaching to a waist band or backpack. The loop position ensures the carafe weight is properly balanced to prevent tipping or slipping out.Next (and probably most important) is how well it works. This is my first exposure to cold brewed coffee. I can honestly say the initial taste is truly less bitter than hot brewed coffee (I was admittedly skeptical). I like strong, dark coffee. I wasn't convinced cold brew would yield the flavor and color I prefer but I was very pleasantly surprised. I'll drink coffee straight black or with creamer depending on my mood. I've noticed I can use less creamer than normal with cold brew so over time that will result in saved money (and calories).Overall, I'm very pleased with the Eilde Cold Brew Coffee Maker. The product is aesthetically pleasing and produces a very nicely flavored brew. If you've never tried cold brewed coffee or just enjoy a nice cup of coffee, the Eilde Cold Brew Coffee Maker is an excellent product, makes great coffee and is simple to use.

Perfect for small-batch cold brew, and on the go!
So far I have only used this to make cold brew coffee, and it has been great! Previously, I was using my french press to make cold brew, but this one is much easier and more convenient for making small batches of it. When I first got it, I measured the suggested 9 tbsp of coursely-ground coffee (I bought fresh beans and put them through the store's grinder on the 'course' setting for the explicit purpose of making cold brew) into the center filter/cylinder, but it was exactly right to the top of it, so now I just fill it right up with the grounds. Once the grounds are in and the cylinder filter is inserted into the glass container, you (slowly) fill it with water (since the water basically has to go through the grounds to get to the bottom of the container, so you don't want your water filling it on high) until the container is full, then cap it and put it in the fridge for 12+ hours. When I'm ready to drink it, I just pull out the cylinder filter with the wet grounds, dump them out, and put the partially-full container back in the fridge. The instructions suggest that you fill the container back up to the top with cold water, since by nature cold brew coffee is concentrated... but I haven't done this yet. My suggestion is that you make that decision based on taste. I think that this product is best intended for small batches of cold-brew coffee (since it may only get you 2-3 servings of coffee per batch, and takes 12-24 hours to brew), and for taking it elsewhere to use, like to work.It comes with an insulating sleeve, which I think is a nice touch for if you are taking this container on the go. Without the sleeve, the bottle fits nicely into my vehicle's cup holders, but with the sleeve on, it does not fit, so I think the expected use is that you would stick this in a bag and bring it with you to drink away from home. A few times, I have just loaded up the multiple-serving container with a fitting amount of creamer, and drank from it at work over the course of a couple days, so the container itself is suitable to drink directly from, or you can just use it as a vessel to transport the cold brew. The rubber seal from the lid started to develop a habit of falling out (or sitting perched on the rim of the bottle after I remove the lid), so I am cautious now to prevent it from falling into the coffee. This doesn't change the quality of the container, but it's something to watch out for, for your own sanity (rather than awkwardly reaching your fingers down into coffee to try to retrieve a floating rubber seal!).

Easy to use!
I'm not a huge fan off hot coffee, however I really enjoy cold brew coffee. I've been wanting to make my own cold brew as it's cheaper than buying it elsewhere and when I found this cold brew maker I decided to give it a try. It's the perfect size for myself and it's easy to use. The strainer is fine so it holds course ground coffee perfectly. The only problem I had was with cleaning, the rubber seal that's on the lid can be hard to take off and liquid can get trapped behind it that takes awhile for it to dry.

No more wasted 'bucks'
I have been spending wayyyyy too much money on iced coffee and it kills me how easy it is to make at home and the amount of money I could/should have saved. This cold brew maker is super easy to use (through directions are included). It can also be used to make iced tea, but I haven't tried that out...yet.I love that it's in a glass container, too. No bad plastic, no waste created with one time use cups, lids and straws. It comes with a coozie type cover as well, to keep your drink nice and cold. I'm so happy to have found this, I wish I would have purchased it a long time ago.

Cheaply Made
EDIT: the company reached out to me directly and replaced the defective product free of charge and it works great, changing from 1 to 4 stars strictly on customer service and the way it should've been working. Would be 5 if the first one wasn't defective. All in all good product but a great companyWould put 0 stars but it's not an option. Received it, went to start making coffee, after I wasted 9 tbsp of grounds the bottom part of the filter disconnected from the top and fell in causing grounds to be all in the water. Figured it wasn't on there properly, but now it won't even stay together with just sitting in the bottle. Yes I have coarse ground coffee. It just fell apart

Great little cold brew pitcher.
I love this so much! It is small enough to make 2 reasonably-sized servings, but I generally just make 1 huge serving! My favorite thing though is that I can just pull out the filter and then use the bottle for my lI'm water for the rest of the day.The container is glass with a metal lid. The filter is metal and the mesh is extremely fine to prevent grounds from going into your drink. Once you pull out the filter, it is easy to add coffee mix-ins because the mouth of the container is so wide. All in all, I recommend this cold-breward pitcher.
