Takes a bit of getting used to but encourages more practice
I bought this for my 7 year old daughter who had just taken up the French Horn. I had bought my son a guitar stand and was really pleased how much more practice he was getting with the guitar on show rather than in its case. The same has definitely been true for this stand. My daughter now practices every day. However I do find that you have to get used to placing it correctly and in terms of design is very close to the floor (literally the instrument is just 1-2cm off the floor) so I am a bit concerned about it getting dusty but that's the only disadvantage.
