Stylish and Functional Blinds for Dorm Life
I bought these Hapadif motorized blinds for my cousin’s college dorm room, and they’ve been a hit. For the price, they feel surprisingly high-end, and they were incredibly easy to install—a big plus for a dorm setting. The remote control is a neat feature, allowing him to adjust the blinds without getting up from his desk or bed.The size was perfect for his small dorm window, and they do an excellent job at blocking out light completely, which is great for those mornings when he wants to sleep in or for keeping out the glare when he's studying on his computer.

Good product
I highly recommend this blackout motorized roller shade. The installation of this motorized shade is super easy. The remote control is user-friendly. Connecting to smart devices opened up a new level of convenience. I can schedule it to open and close according to my daily routine. It looks sleek and functions flawlessly, a must-have for any modern home.

Good value for cost
OVERALLThese were the first blackout, roller shades, Smart shades, that we had ever purchased. They do the job but a few things keep me from giving them five stars. I would in fact give them 4 1/2 if possible.PROAbsolute blackouts. These shades are in the bedroom, and even when the sun comes up in the morning, it is still pretty dark in the room. Not the same as nighttime, but it doesn’t wake us up. Of course they don’t go edge to edge and so there is a half inch slit between the edge of the shade and the wall. Some people buy light blocker strips, but we have drapes that cover that slot. Even though there are lights outside of our window, not enough leaks into the room at night to make us regret the purchase. These were less expensive than most. I like that they come in standard sizes. I purchased 35 x 72 and didn’t have to go through customizing only to find out that it cost more than the initial price listed in the posting. We got the gray color. The fabric is stiff, a little plasticy, but you don’t stand there touching them, and so you wouldn’t know otherwise. The gray is not solid, it is more of a grass cloth texture, which I like.We connected the remotes to Bond home. After working with a very responsive customer service team via Amazon messages, I was able to adjust the start and stop positions, get both blinds to work on the same remote (I didn’t spend the money on a multichannel remote) and Get the remote to stop at a favorite position. The posting said that you need to buy a gateway, but someone else said they had used Bond home so I decided to do the same because we already had that device for our ceiling fans. They connect to Bond home almost immediately but getting to recognize the favorite position was a little more difficult. The favorite position is 20% open which we use in the morning to wake us up without blinding us.Bond home then connects to Alexa and you can use voice to fully open or fully close these blinds. The favorite position can only be accessed through an Alexa routine.Although it’s not easy to find, it appears that the hub mentioned in the posting is Tuya hub. I received one of those with another order from a different brand and I’ll update the review if I’m able to find the time to connect them to let you know how it works with that hub. I do know that the hub connected to the other blinds allows me a lot more control like the percentage open or close versus fully so it’s worth taking a look.CONSI chose these because they were the cheapest, blackout Smart shades that I could find which also included a valance. The valance is important, because the roll is an inch down from the top and sun or streetlights stream right through that slot.Unfortunately, they run on six AA batteries. Those “dry” batteries are not rechargeable. I’ve had them up for three months and they still go up and down twice every day so it appears that the batteries last a fairly long time. But they are going to have to be replaced eventually. The posting says the batteries will last for six months, depending upon use. I knew this when I ordered them but I will not go this route again. The bracket hardware has a lot more plastic than I would’ve liked. As I tried to take one back down to show my husband how the batteries go in, a back tooth on the bracket broke. There are two teeth on the back so they’re still attached but obviously plastic was not a good choice. The posting says that these motors are quiet, but that is not true. They are loud enough that we have to turn up the TV when operating the motor. They aren’t hairdryer loud and when they open 20% in the morning I don’t hear it unless I’m already half awake. So they’re not awful, definitely workable, but also definitely not quiet. Finally, because I was looking for value over aesthetics, I will mention that the valance and the lower rail are white. You could probably paint the top balance, but I doubt that you would be able to successfully paint the bottom room to match anything. If you have white walls or white windows, this is probably fine for you. But for me, it does not match our walls or windowsills and it kind of annoys me. Again, not enough to say don’t buy it but something to be aware of

Great blinds for my bedroom window!
The media could not be loaded. This is a quality product and it meets its expectation. Installation was very easy. The blind functions very nicely. It looks very neat and sleek. It is definitely worth every penny.

Impossible to replace batteries
Garbage!!!!!! Would return but too late. I spent over $700 on these pieces of garbage. Shade completely broke because there’s no decent instructions on how to remove the shade to change the battery and now the blind is useless and being held against the window with duct tape!!!!!!

Remote blinds
These blinds look nice, work well and are easy to install. The only thing I wish they had is a sensor to stop at the bottom. You have to time it just right. Not a problem if the window is the same length, but there weren’t any available for the windows we installed them in. They give great privacy and block the light really well.

Okay for the price
Me and my husband bought these to go on our 2 front doors. They are really nice and look great. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because if you roll them all the way up they get stuck and they are very slow going up and down. Other than that they work great and keep the light out if you want to and let the light in when you want it.
