Absolutely stunning movie.
The brutal romanticism, the camera work, the acting, and the story .. amazing indeed, extremely underrated movie. I could watch this again and again and still not get bored.Would have loved to see Charles Dance more though, his roles are always so serious and so suspenseful, he just carries that darkened tone, that completed this story, how i hoped there would be a sequel, but alas no sign yet although there are rumours ! .Breathtaking movie, i recommend, it's beautiful, romance isn't dead, it forever lives on in our movies and the actors in this particular movie carried it stunningly.Thank you :)

High quality film
Very entertaining. Luke Evans (Vlad) was in the Hobbit series as Girion and this film is closer to that than to a standard Dracula movie. The 3 star review I read was from someone complaining that the story wasn't quite how they would like it, as if it was real history and the makers got the facts wrong. Oh, and also complaining it wasn't good enough for their awesome home cinema set-up.Well worth watching if you enjoy the genre.

Great film with deep look into the counts life
I thoroughly . enjoyed this. After Gary Oldman and keaunu Reeves brilliant outing, I found this much more serious story like, and made a lot of his early battles with the Turks. Also finding Charles Dance in it and at least another from Game of Thrones, and soundtrack by Djiwadi who also produced all the Game of Thrones music, for me the cast was top notch, sad, powerful, vengeance, bats, epic battles and a great take on a story told many times before, but this film stands out as very watchable pop corn movie, but with some class directing.

Slow start, with some good ideas, but over all, dissapointing.
Ok film, with some good ideas. Slow start, but gets slightly better near the end. I am still looking for this Dracula story to be done justice. This is along the right lines, but still lacking.4K HDR picture is good, but there are some areas were the camera is not in focus and suffers from the intended rubbish background sky film grain. I really don't see the point in this, I want 4K HD razor sharp, not film grain.Over all, worth a watch.

Vlad Tepes
This movie tell the story of Vlad Tepes (Dracu) Dracula, Prince of Transilvania, from the istory books , as long as he lived none was doing any illegalities , they were so afraid of him because of his cruel punishments (and he was right) !! The movie tell his childhood with the Turks and the revenge he had later on when he was release back to our country .He is the best !!! The things he done for this country !!! I sometimes wish ,he was still alive to take power and show the people who govern now , how it should be !!!

'AN ENJOYABLE WATCH IF BUT A RE-INVENTION OF THE FABLED TALE'
The year is 1492 Transylvania - The small Kingdom ruled by 'Prince Vlad' (The Impaler)(Luke Evans) has enjoyed peace for thepast ten years. When during a Celebration the Kings envoy turn up to claim the fealty due, they also demand 1000 boys to serve with his armies'the selection would also include 'Prince Vlad' and 'Mirena's' (Sarah Gadon) young Son, however 'Vlad' is not prepared to meet thedemands of 'King Mehmed' (Dominic Cooper) knowing the warlord will wreak vengeance upon his small kingdom.Earlier 'Vlad' had lost two of his men in a mysterious cave on the side of a mountain that harbours pure evil, it is to this cave thePrince turns too, to save both his family and his people, the cost to himself, eternal damnation, he will become something verydifferent with unimaginable power and senses, which have been passed to him by 'The Master' (Charles Dance)The passion for his family and his people remains, he returns to his castle which is under siege from overwhelming forces - odds hewill not fear.'Vlad' seeks to take his family and people to a safe place knowing the War-Lord King will hunt them down, as the days pass his needfor blood becomes intense....The story to be told well needed more than the approx 90 minute run-time, the story perhaps a little fanciful stretching the story andlegend in the telling of the beginnings of Dracula, however if watched with little expectation, as a spectacle putting aside legend it'sa decent special-effects viewing. As an earlier reviewer pointed out the role taken by Charles Dance somewhat beneath his acting prowess in truth.Good Picture and Sound QualityFeatures -* Alternate Opening* Deleted Scenes* Feature Commentary* Day in the Life - Luke Evans* Dracula Retold* Staying 1000* The land of Dracula* Interactive Map* Luke Evans - Creating a Legend

Over the top and nonsensical.
So over the top as to be silly in the extreme but then again it seems that this generation have to want to have everything grossly exaggerated, I couldn't bear to watch this nonsensical trash.
