I always look for biodegradable or sustainablely made kitchen plastics. These are GREAT. They are sturdy enough that I've now reused the sandwich size for raw chicken at least 5x per bag without any leaks and expect to use at least 5x more! They take a bleach rinse really well too (because of raw chicken). One package is going to last me at least 3x as long as ziplock or Glad bags. And I don't have to worry about leaving more plastic in the world. They come in snack, sandwich, quart, gallon and trash bag sizes. The company has a great deal if you order a box of all sizes at once. Look at the company's other great products as well. Getting ready for the Plastics Treaty coming in - 2025 - I think? I know we are phasing out the plastics and glad to do my part ahead of time. These are great bags, given they aren't plastic. Zip works well. I re-use. Wash them gently and can usually get a couple or more uses out of them before they begin to wear. It feels so great to put something like this in the garbage! Because they are a bit pricey - I only get them on sale. We have more glassware for food storage now and I am finding I don't have to use these bags all that much like I used to. And, there are fun, washable cloth baggies with velcro (velcro is plastic type - nylon material - I know - but less is better as we all transition) type bags now for kids lunches and snacks which we also use. But when we DO need the ziplock types - these work great!

I loved the fact that they are compostable. But the quart was only a pint. The smaller bags held very little. Will look for better ones that are a true size. Glad I tried them. I am truly into compostable bags.
