Bright, light weight, strong, fits well. But battery doesn't last long - suddenly stops.
This is small, bright, light weight, strong, fits well.But....this isn't good at being visible from the side, and the real problem for me is the battery doesn't last long (even on strobe mode) and it just suddenly stops when the charge runs out....apparently the small red charging light should come on when battery is low, but either that doesn't come on ahead of my 30min commute using strobe mode or its too small/dull to notice ....it has meant the dangerous situation of getting to my destination to then realise I've had no rear light for the end of the journey a couple of times. My previous rear light (cateye omni) was less than half the price, strong and reliable, not as bright but more visible from the side, it used AAA batteries and lasted about 20x as long (90hrs strobe) as the Knog blinder (4-5hrs strobe) and batteries of the cateye were quickly replaceable if needed while out and about, whereas charging the Knog via usb isn't. Also, the cateye gave warning when power was getting low by gradually getting duller- this Knog just suddenly stops.I'd give this 5 stars if it was visible from the side and if the battery lasted longer or even if at least it wen't into a duller low battery mode or just went to using 1 LED or something to get you home other than just suddenly stopping. It means I need to mostly use this on the lowest power flashing mode and it's one more device I need to always keep in mind needing to recharge - the equivalent of having a high performing thin and lightweight smartphone with a battery that doesn't last so you don't use it to it's full potential and have the hassle of always need to keep charging in mind.I'll need to buy a cateye omni as backup and have both lights on my bike.

I'm really pleased with this unit - it's built to a standard
I've tried a few rear lights, and as a London commuter it's important for my safety. I commute up to 36km each way, suburbs, bridleways, even 60mph roads... on a Brompton. So lights matter. I'm really pleased with this unit - it's built to a standard, not to a price. I can fit 2 on my Brompton seatpost (just - on the extended edition seatpost). So one steady, one flashing. OK, so £60 is a lot for a pair of rear lights, but they matter to me, and these units a beautifully made, bright, easy to charge, and I suspect very waterproof. They are like a swiss watch - just ooze quality.

Intense light
Good quality rear light. Very intense light. Charges quickly too. No idea how long the battery lasts for as I tend to keep it fully charged

Great light
Love knogg lights and this is no exception. Only drawback is the new strap forcattaching to the bike. Not as secure as previous versions and can come loose and be lost.
