A great gift for teachers
We made one of these for my daughters teachers. She loved making this. She wants to make more for people. It’s really a sweet and sentimental gift. She wrote all the kids names on papers and then words that describe her. So cute

Great craft! Well worth the time and money.
I love this craft! It comes with almost all of the materials that you need (except for the pens/markers to embellish). It states that it is for ages 6+, but I think with supervision it can also be for younger kids. We actually ended up using this "family" bowl as an end of the year craft to give to their teacher. We had each of the students (who were 4/5 year olds) sign their name, then put the date on one of the paper circles. It turned out really great and would definitely do it again. If you are planning on doing this as a gift you will need to give yourself extra time as it says to give the glue around 5 days to dry before removing the craft from the molding bowl. If you are doing it as a craft with the family and not as a gift then the amount of time it takes to dry isn't a big deal.It does take some time to put the bowl together to mix the colors of the circles to have the right balance of patterns and colors to give it the look that you see in the pictures. Overall this is a great kit. Though I do wish that the retailers would charge the MSRP instead of the current sale price.

Fun, but finicky
Our family enjoys crafting, and we spent a happy evening working on our “thought circles” together. Assembly of the bowl and the drying process went smoothly. We ran into a few somewhat avoidable hiccups that would have been worth knowing about. Perhaps the maker will address the ink-on-paper issue in upcoming releases, but meantime be cautious.😢 The paper discs are not ink-friendly. It would have been very helpful to have had a test strip that we could have doodled on to ensure our pens of choice would corporate with the paper.😔 Better yet, a few spare discs packaged separately would have been useful, in the case of ink issues or misspellings (we ran into both issues).💡 There’s no real guidance about what portion of the circles to think of as “active areas” — especially if someone is jotting down more than a word or brief phrase. To work around this issue, consider placing a few dry circles on the molding bowl before you begin the activity so you’ll have an idea of how much overlap to expect.

Not worth it
This was a fun way to keep the kids busy for awhile, drawing and coloring the circles. But that’s pretty much where the value of the bowl ended. We tried to assemble it and the glue smeared the markers on the circles and putting them on the bowl shape you can’t even see what was drawn.

Flimsy but absolutely cute
Turns out a bit flimsy. For some reason I thought it would be a little sturdier but it is thick construction paper reinforced with Elmer's school glue. It is very cute though and I’m 100% sure the recipient will absolutely love it. I just don’t think you would want to actually use it to put anything in, even just light decoration or keys.

Adorable Family Craft Activity
When my in-laws come into town they like to do crafts with the kids. They've been in town the past couple of weeks after Hurricane Irma just to visit and to make sure we were all okay (we are). This was a great craft for the family to do together. What I really like about Craft-tastic kits is they usually have everything needed right in the package so I'm not out shopping for components at the last minute. This kit was no exception. The kit has question prompts that you answer on the backs of the little circles and then you use those circles to make the bowl. It really is an adorable idea and makes a great family keepsake. The only drawback to this project is the time it takes the bowl to dry. You need about five days to finish this project while the glue dries enough for you to take it off the plastic bowl mold, so if you have kids who refuse to be patient this might not be the best choice. Otherwise this really is an adorable family craft activity.

Priceless memories!
It is not a fast process but well worth it to take your time. Markers WILL smear! We used ball-point pens, they worked the best. I also applied extra glue and it turned out more sturdy than I expected. Our family made it after our summer vacation and put our favorite moments and plans for next year's vacation. It's priceless to me!!

Cute idea, but use pens that don’t smear
Really cute project but I wished the directions had stated a type of pen or marker to use. The glue smeared all of ours! After spending all that time writing all of their answers my kids were really disappointed.
