Solid and robust
I bought the 36” version of this after spreading sand to level my Bermuda grass lawn.I’ve been looking for a leveling rake for a year or so but never bit the bullet because they all seem to have issues being flimsy, bending or breaking at the handle. When I saw other reviews for this GAW rake complaining about the weight I knew this was the one I wanted.Full disclosure I’ve only used it once so far but I will update the review if I encounter problems.Packaging was 10/10, it was completely spaced using foam blocks so the metal was not banged together during shipping meaning the finish was pristine (appears to be a high quality powder coating).Assembly is easy it includes multiple wrenches all the bolts and nylock nuts. The only small knock I have is using a Phillip head on one side of the bolt makes it difficult to torque the nuts on using the supplied screwdriver. Barely an issue but weaker hands without tools may struggle. The area I was leveling is about 3k square feet and there was about 4 yards of masonry sand spread, some areas are quite deep and other areas it’s very thin (builders grade sod installation) pulling this rake moves it very smoothly over the sand, however using a push/pull method is preferred, the weight of the rake gives you a decent workout but it also keeps it from bouncing over the surface without leveling. (If you have weak hands and don’t own a Phillips screwdriver this may prove too hard to do).Overall very pleased with this rake, solid construction and looks nice as well. I will update the review if I run into any problems. I will be using it daily for the next week as my Bermuda recovers and then do some spot leveling afterwards.

Well built the 40" is heavy. Works great.
The leveler works very well. I went with the 40" because I am doing my entire lawn. IT IS HEAVY. My wife is a tough good size gal. She would not be able to use it for long. After a full day of use I was sore. I am a pretty active person, former infantry. Just keep that in mind. It works perfrect and the extra weight allows the tool to do its job. For small areas the smaller one would be best. For smaller people the smaller one would be best. I think that is why 36" is the largest most companies make. Anything more and the average person would struggle to use the larger one properly. I have no regrets on the 40". Its a beast though. Well built. Last a life time.

Works great with clean dirt
This rake is made very well, is heavy enough to spread dirt efficiently, but not so heavy it is hard to move. Assembly was easy and the instructions were easy to follow, but it was so simple instructions really weren't necessary. I bought this to topcoat with 1/2" to 1" of fresh dirt over a mostly bare and rocky lawn so i could establish grass and cover up my rocky yard. This rake works perfect if you have clean dirt with no rocks, sticks or clods. Unfortunately, the dirt i had delivered was full of 1" to 3" clods so it made this rake difficult to use because it would just ride on top of the thickest clod. This is not the rake's fault, but important to know if you aren't going to work with good clean dirt. I ended up using a metal rake to level out the dirt piles and get rid of the clods, then i ran the GAW rake over the dirt to smooth it out and level everything off. This approach worked extremely well. I would give it 5 stars if it would handle the clods, such as having tines in front of it or a way to push them out of the way, but this ended up being a lot harder to use than i was hoping. Overall a very good tool and very well made. THe long handle was a plus, especially compared to a regular rake, plus me being 6'4" i didn't have to bend over to use this rake.

Big and solid
The leveler is very sturdy and very large. It levels effectively and performs as expected. Good product.

Handle was made wrong
Just unpacked mine and at first impression is that it’s made very well. It has a really good weight to it. Except my handle was made wrong instead of straight with the rake it actually curves to the side. I think they just drilled the holes wrong. But other than that’s it’s pretty beefy.*update after 1 hour of work the rubber on the handle has torn through because it’s not glued on so it moves while you work. You can see in the picture how much I spread before it ripped***UPDATE** seller contacted me and sent me a new grip and a fork that’s drilled different so I can us the original handle but it makes it the correct direction 5 stars

seems to flip over too easy
I was trying to use this to level out sand for under a pool and it worked okay but if I didn't move side to side while trying to pull back it would constantly just flip over

Best Leveling Rake
Made leveling so much fun. I leveled my backyard using this tool and the result was phenomenal. It is heavy enough to stay flat while pulling through the dirt.
