FRETOD Flea and Tick Collars for Dogs Cats – 8 Month Protection –Adjustable 23” Length fits for Small Medium Large Pets

I bought this product to use it in conjuction with flea tablets and it works well.It arrived in time frame agreed when purchased and well packed. Size is very generous which willfit any cat and I'd say almost any dog. I am using this product for my cat, it has been 4 months sinceshe started wearing it and has so far been effective in preventing fleas to settle on her.Smell is much much less potent/strong then many other products. Colour is grey/white as advertised.Feeling to it is plastic but not uncomfortable as this is the only one my cat hasn't tried to remove orsimply put, complain about. As mentioned I do use flea tablets in conjunction with this collar and thatis every 2 weeks just to be on a safe side. They say that it is suppose to last up to 8 months but I'mgiving it another month before I'll replace it with the same one without a doubt! Yes, it's not the cheapestout there but if I buy two of these a year and don't have to worry about fleas settling on my cat, me, otherfamily members or house, then this is well invested money.

This is the third one of these collars that I’ve bought for my dog. Since she has been wearing these collars out on her walks we have not had any problems with fleas or ticks at all. Before that we had a couple of bad episodes with fleas despite using a leading brand spot monthly treatment.The collar is very easy to cut to size, we fasten the collar loosely on our dog and then just slip it on and off over her head, it doesn’t need to be tight. The collar sits nicely alongside her normal collar.We only use this whilst she is out for her daily walks, we do not keep it on her all the time, even though we have hedgehogs visiting our garden every night their fleas and ticks don’t seem to bother the dog.

The collar itself needs to be cut to size - a very simple process with good guidance on how much excess to leave. We do live in the countryside and my fluffy Maine coone does seem to be a tick magnet. There may have been a reduction in the number climbing on him,but they are still there and this morning I removed an embedded tick from under his chin, just 2cm away from the collar. So, while it may have reduced the occurrence ( or may not) , don’t think that it is 100% effective. You will need to keep checking your pet.

Just removed four new ticks. It made me super sad to make my yorkie wear the smelly collar only to find it is having no positive affect at all. It was fresh out of the packaging and was put on a bathed, clipped and brushed little fellow four days ago. Before I used the collar I checked him for new ticks, he has very little hair, so ticks are easy to see. Today he had four small, new ticks nestled into his skin. The collar did not work at all. Have missed my return deadline. So can’t return this or the second one I bought.

I have recently bought another one of these collars because after 3 months I started to find ticks again on my dog but that's perhaps because my dog loves playing in the water. He doesn't swim but the collar does get wet on an almost daily basis. I don't mind having to buy another one because - despite the collar not working as long as stated - it's so much better for my dog than all that chemical rubbish out there. He hasn't shown signs of itching with both collars- as has been mentioned by some other users.

Can only give 3stars as she has only had it a month and I can't find out what is in it. So far has worked really well and although she is a petite dog she as had no bad reactions to it. Much cheaper than a Soresto so I'm happy with thatIm now on my second collar and have another dog with one I took off the first collar as i was expecting a new one and she had a tick within three days. So they do work and smell lovely.

It is difficult to comment of the effectiveness of these collars as I brought 2, one for each of my dogs. However one dog has not had any visitors but the other has collected 2 ticks around his face since he has been wearing the collar. Have to say I have bitten the bullet and gone back to the vet for a more expensive but effective collar

...along with a mix of other flea and tick remedies.Where we walk is around a reservoir and adjacent farmland with grazing cows which are moved into different areas to graze etc.The result is that when Baxter runs into long grass he is at risk of potentially picking up all manner of fleas, ticks and/or anything else.Using this item along with a mix of other remedies certainly kept Baxter much less inconvenienced and worked for me too as he wasn't bring things home with/on him.If this feedback/review has helped in any way please be kind enough to click on 'Helpful' or 'Comment'.Thank you for reading my Feedback.
