Tried for heat disapation on south wall
I have two black stick-up cams on my south facing red-brown-tan brick garage wall. I decided to use black cams there, because they are mounted 'low' at 7 feet. I figured the black color would be more camouflaged than my white cameras. The down side is that the black cameras would get hotter than the white ones in the Texas summer heat.I don't have temperature specifications to report, but these "umbrellas" do keep most of the direct sunlight off of the vertical surfaces of the cameras. Plastic is not a good heat conductor, so even though the 'hat' is black, I also suspect that a few degrees of the solar heat is also blocked from the top of the camera.I thought of spray painting the hoods a neutral tan or grey, but haven't done it yet. The cameras are surviving the daily 110 degree Texas summer in their all-black wardrobe. One note of caution - aim your cameras before taking the adhesive film off of the hood. I have one of my hoods a bit 'cock-eyed'. It gives that cam a bit of 'attitude'.I do think these parasols are overpriced, and hoped for some color choices (white, tan, grey). They do provide a unique look, like an artsy mushroom or a Star Wars character.Besides color, since I used aftermarket mounts that put the cameras further out from the wall, I would have preferred a full, or almost full, circular 'hat'.Functionally, they do provide shade, and some rain/snow and bird dropping protection. I took off one star based on the price. If these sell well, competition will bring the prices down quickly.

Works great, easy fit.
Have tested for several weeks now through huge downpour and heavy rainfall. I do have another roof attached above the ring cam and do this for all my outside cameras. Still wanted to use this to cut out some glare and prolong life of the camera.

It fits perfectly over the security camera
The cover arrived on time and fits perfectly over the security camera. It's a simple, small piece of plastic that does exactly what it's supposed to. Is it overpriced? Absolutely. Does it work? Yes.

Helps keep H2O off lens.
Fit and finish is good, has high strength 3m tape under top to hold securely to camera top. Definitely keeps some of the unwanted weather off allowing better views .
