My 5.5 QT kitchenAid bowl lift mixer came with a mixing beater that did not have an edge scraper. I much prefer this beater over that one as it does a good job of getting ingredients off the sides of the bowl. So far it is working great. Did not have to adjust the bowl height.

Works great for getting all the ingredients mixed together. Scrapes the side of the bowl well. Works better than the one which came with the mixer.

This attachment has helped me tremendously when mixing batter for a Pound cake. It scrapes the sides of the bowl as it is mixing.

Bought it for a Kitchen Aid purchased at Sam’s Club. I wasn’t sure it would fit, but it works good. It’s a little small for that model, but it still saves so much time from having to stop and scrap the bowl every few minutes. It mixes, scrapes the bowl well, and incorporates all the ingredients so I’m satisfied with the performance.

I like how it picks up the batter on the wall of the bowl and eliminates the need to stop the mixer to do some scraping.

Got a 5.5 qt Kitchenaid bowl lift stand mixer for Christmas. The first time I used it I used this flex edge beater for a quick bread recipe that required creamed butter. It scraped the bowl so well I didn't have to do any of that by hand, although I scraped the beater only twice during all of the mixing.I don't know why I would use the standard paddle beater over this great product. Highly recommend it for most beating tasks.This is the Kitchenaid OEM flex edge beater. There are some aftermarket ones available, but they have more material in the middle, which I would think would just create more area that would need to be scraped by hand. Definitely spend the extra money and get this one versus a knock off.
