No problem. Used with 8 gage copper wire. Snapped together just fine. I have it in the bed of my pickup running to the battery. I'm using them on a boat winch.

I have bought several sets of these and they are a must have. They make life so much easier. I have put these connectors on all of my trolling motors and will be installing one on my PowerDrive once the warranty has expired. I would recommend soldering your wires into the connectors. Crimping works too but I would be concerned of them coming out one day. The covers that come with them is an added bonus so you can keep them protected when not in use. Simply put, if you want to make your life easier then pick these out. On a side note these fit perfectly with another brand I purchased, but they were also Red in color so becareful if you thing you are going to pair these with a gray set. There is no way to tell if they will work.

Purchased these so I can attach my battery charger directly to my rv batteries without a hassle. I like to put a quick charge on my batteries once a month while my travel trailer sits during the off season to be sure they are well maintained and fresh when I’m ready to start camping again. Purchased a couple of 3’ six gauge battery cables and installed these connectors on one end and to the battery posts on the other. Then I cut my heavy duty battery charger cables and installed two of the connectors, one on the charger side and one on battery clamp side so I can now either attach my charger directly to my rv batteries or reconnect the battery clamps for normal use on vehicles, etc. Works like a champ! I do recommend soldering these connectors instead of crimping them. Use a small amount of flux on the ends of the wire before inserting into the connector ends, and use rosin solder. I used my propane torch to heat the metal ends while soldering. Just be careful not to overheat and melt the insulation.

These plugs are JUNK, installed 2 sets of these plugs on my truck, within 2 months the plastic housing on both were cracked and not holding a tight connection. Both had to be replaced with quality plugs that cost the same as these. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!
