Wow! Easy fit low cost HomeKit door or Window sensor.
These are just so simple and brilliant it’s incredible.Using with Apple HomeKit app.Easy to install, self adhesive stickers or screws Set up is about 5 mins per unit and works like a dream.Download the Apple HomeKit App, apply where you want it either on a door or window, or even a Garage Roller or normal up and over door. When the sensors are split you get a notification to with iPhone, iPad Apple Watch or even the iOS iPod I would think too.I’ve got one on the back door so if it’s opened during the night I have 2 bedside light that come on and the Apple HomePod mini comes on playing an alarm sound. So simple and so quick. Brilliant

Rock solid and dependable
Recently fitted and joined my thread network when the firmware was updated. The (free) Eve app is excellent. I was a little dubious about just sticking the sensor on the door, but it works perfectly as there is little weight to the product. It's only a sensor, so you can decide what you want it to do. I can get a notification on my phone for open and close events. I can set times when I wish to receive those notifications, such as during the day when no-one should be home. It could be made to trigger other events, such as turn on a hall lamp when you enter.I only have one on the entrance to my apartment and It triggers pretty much instantly. That gives me peace of mind that all is well. I'll add motion sensors when Eve launch the thread versions. The possibilities multiply when you add further products.

Very easy to set up
Set up in seconds. So far so good. Replacing a Meross sensor which was cheaper but rubbish. Original Meross sensor and 2 replacements failed very quickly. Arrived earlier than expected too.

Matter 3.2 Update has made a big difference
The 3.2 update seems to have really improved the Matter performance with the Google Nest Wi fi pro. I just hope Eve adhere to their promise and release an Android app. This is crucial for the energy monitoring on the smart plugs. Overall good product just a bit expensive compared to the competition. May be their prices will come down when 'others' release thread based Matter devices.

Does not work - avoid
Purchased a contact sensor, stopped working after a few weeks. Tried all sorts - resetting it, new battery, restarting my Apple TV 4K’s (acting as thread border router), restarted iPhone and iPad, additionally tried setting up via Google Home and even the Eve app itself - still unable to get it working again. So frustrating. Support non-existent. Unfortunately past the return window for this one so it’s going in the bin. All of the others that I’ve purchased recently however (and also a motion sensor) are now being returned as I simple cannot trust this brand with my home security. I would urge you to look for an alternative.

Does what it says on the tin!
As a tenant, I've had my fair share of landlords who like to turn up anannounced or let themselves in when I am out, this door/window sensor provides me with an extra layer of comfort knowing when my front door has been opened or closed whilst I am not in.It's a small device that fits perfectly on the door and is super easy to set up and connect to my iPhone and Apple HomeKit system.

Check you get the latest generation model
This is a great product, hugely improved by the addition of Thread - response times and battery life are significantly better than the previous Bluetooth-only version.WARNING: Make sure you check you’ve received the latest model though. The Amazon listing clearly states in the title and throughout the description, that this is supposed to be the Thread enabled version, which is only supported by the 3rd generation (2020 model) devices.I ordered two of these and both were the old 2nd gen (2017) versions. I had to return them as they will not support Thread. The 3rd gen ones will have EBN in the model number on the base of the box (and will likely have the Thread logo on the box).

Extremely reliable
The item is very easy to install, quick and straightforward to connect to HomeKit and it’s extremely responsive. It triggers whatever automation you pair in just about 1 second.
