Freelander 2 & Evoque Oil Filter Removal Spanner
The oil filter housing on the Freelander 2 & Evoque is almost impossible to get to (yes its a ridiculous design!). With this 27mm flexible ratchet it is possible to hook it on the housing from below the car and remove the plastic filter housing, it still takes up to 10 minutes several clicks at a time to then be able to allow removal by hand but it is almost impossible with any other device (sockets, knuckle joints, etc)For the above use you may want to keep the spanner intact or grind off the open ended side to allow a little more movement. (Obviously this would void the warranty of the spanner)

Buy cheap get cheap!
The 13mm version of this spanner lasted all of a fortnight before the bearings fell apart so I’m going to base my judgment on the cheap brand and assume the other four sizes I also purchased will perish before I’ve had just a couple of quids worth use out of them!If I’m honest I didn’t buy a premium brand as I don’t use spanners often being an electrician, if you use certain tools frequently buy a more expensive better brand but still some high end tools aren’t worth what you pay! It’s trial and error unfortunately so best ask your honest workmates what’s a good tool brand at a reasonable price... you can’t go wrong with Bahco, Stanley or Halfords own brand in my opinion chine 👍

Very useful
Good quality spanner especially considering what it cost. Perfectly functional, I use it regularly on the farm and have had no problems with it. just the job for getting at hard to reach belt tensioners on the combine. The ratchet mechanism is smooth and only requires a small arc to advance a tooth on the mechanism. Finish on the spanners is fine and they still look good after a year in the toolbox.Very useful type of spanner to have, definitely recommended at this price.

Good buy and super fast delivery
Needed this to tighten some 30mm brass plumbing nuts in a confined space. Did the job brilliantly. (But probably won't get used again for a long time!) Don't forget this is 30mm so quite big but far better than trying to use mole wrench etc! Good value and seems sturdy. Suggestion to comment on 'sheerness' but no idea what this means in the context of a spanner...but it's good for me

It's ok but not great.
It does a job, if you just need to use it once or twice. My issue with it is that in really tight spots if you don't get a good movement on it, roughly a 90° angle on it, the ratchet doesn't engage and jams if you will. So you can't use it at smaller angles. It was okay the first few times, then eventually it really started to just annoying me when you're stretching at an awkward angle and the thing doesn't work at smaller angles, I decided to go out and get a better one with more ratchet teeth to allow the smaller angle. Went for a wera one that costs 3x the price.

Love 4x4
Use it for Freelander 2 oil filter, the last one got lost (yea) so had to get a new one...good thing nowthey are slightly longer which helps as they can be rather tight.....interesting to see how long this one lasts ...a long time if you put it back where you found it....!!!Well well , the second one has suddenly disappeared , just had to order another one.!!!!

A very useful tool
Whilst trying to fit flexible tap hoses to bath taps in an extremely confined space, I was unable to use even the smallest of wrenches to tighten the fittings. That was until I got one of these - what a life saver. Although the spanner is quite bulky, I was able to slide the hoses through the ratchet-end of the spanner and tighten the nuts one ratchet notch at a time. The swivel head also helped greatly. The spanner is of good quality, especially for the price, and feels very sturdy. I can't imagine I'll use it too often but it is definitely a very useful tool to have available.

Great little rachet spanner
The rachet arrived on time along with my new toilet seat. The fact that the spanner is adjustable allowed me to contend with an open space on one side of the toilet and a confined space on the other. The spanner was great as on the confined side I was able to angle the spanner downwards and still turn to tighten the screws.Only downside was the packaging it comes in takes a bit of working out for how to extract the spanner and requires cutting bits off with a stanley knife to get out.
