Great device for remote control and viewing of devices
The PWAYTEK HDMI and USB extender is a great device for controlling devices that aren't nearby. Great for front of house display screens in businesses where the machines can't be placed nearby for aesthetics.Device is very simple and easy to use, transmits through Ethernet cable and allows viewing and remote control of your machine. Price point is fair and easy to justify as modifying the space would be intrusive and far more costly. Decent piece of kit and built to a high quality.

So simple to use
If you want to say remotely manage a Camera NVR then this is your best friend. One piece of CAT5e a hdmi cable then plug in your mouse and monitor the other end. Really good piece of kit.

only worked at 720p, lots of lag, image was corrupt, frequently cut out
just didn't work as expected. for some reason the picture was only 720p, there was a load of lag, the audio was distorted, the image was corrupted - weird colours in some pixels. it would cut out every 30 seconds or so... I got a different, more expensive one off this site which works perfectly.

Could not get the mouse to work at a distance only 15m waay but hdmi was ok.
I bought this to use on a CCTV system that has a monitor in a separate room about 15m away from the NVR.With a CAT6A cable the hdmi was working fine but not with the mouse, it came on then quickly disappeared from the screen making it unusable.Amazon excepted the return and gave back the refund

Works perfect.
I installed a camera system and needed to operate the NVR remotely. This worked perfect from the switch on.

Couldn't get better than 720p. Over 5m on Cat 6 cable no lag. Build quality very good.
You have a transmitter and receiver module. On each there is port marked UTP. Take your ethernet cable and connect one end to the transmitter UTP port and the other to the UTP port on the receiver module. On the first module there are two USB A connectors โ one for your mouse and one for your keyboard and next to it a HDMI port to connect to your monitor. On the second module you have the power supply input from the included power supply. You will need a printer type USB cable. Hovering over the Amazon listing pictures will help guide you to make the correct connections.Over a 5 m Cat 6 cable there was no perceptible delay. However, I could not get the picture to better quality than 720 p.The two modules were well made. I could not resist looking inside and the PCB's were of good quality and the two enclosures made of steel and screwed together. It all has a solid feel about it and the metal casing no doubt to screen to and from electrical interference.Being unable to get better than 720 p was a disappointment and I don't understand why. I will endeavour to try a longer cable and see how it performs. If you don't need the 50m extension it is a little on the expensive side as there are cheaper alternatives but at 50 m it is far more competitively priced and I don't think the competition will be much better built, if at all.Re tested using a 30 meter cable. The screen was responsive but there were green and yellow flecks flickering across the bottom of the screen. The rest of the screen had a slight greenish tint to it so not the best viewing experience. The cable I used was a Vine supplied one which I tested separately on my internet connection and I wouldn't say it was particularly impressive in that role as the performance was similar to a 5 year old CAT 5 Ethernet cable purchased cheaply off Ebay and the Vine supplied cable is supposed to be CAT 6 . Nevertheless, the extender is supposed to work to 50 Meters and even with better cable I do wonder how well it will perform. I will endeavour to obtain some high quality cable and run the test again.

No loss of signal and constant connectivity
Because of the nature of my job which is to monitor some systems I need to have access to my computer any time and because motor the time I'm at home I created a setup that will allow me to use the mouse and keyboard at a long distance and this was possible with the help of this product. In order to set it up it was very simple (I am quite familiar with this type of product and I knew exactly what I had to do) and in less than 10 minutes I could use the mouse and the keyboard in my living room. This product provides a constant connection and since I'm using it I didn't experience any issues in terms of losing the signal(neither any lag) and I have noticed something which is quite important to mention, even though the extender is in constant use, it keeps a normal temperature because of its metal case. From my side everything is in order with the product and I hope it will work the same as he does now and I have nothing to complain about its built in quality and performance.
