Pros-the iPad fits, the color matches the dash and it seems to line up pretty well. If you just do basic driving it will Work just fine for you and it’s easily removable. No drilling into the dash either.Cons- if you do anytype of off-roading or bumpy driving then the iPad is sure to fall out. It clips on but only snug, it’s not secured down in any way. The magnets that hold the plastic piece require you to remove your whole dash. Falling off didn’t seem like an issue like the iPad.I found another brand that allows the iPad to slide in instead of a snug fit like this one and the whole piece bolts down to a prexisting screw hole. I returned this item.

Was at first skeptical on how this could possibly not fall off -but after several weeks now the only time it comes off is if I forget it's only held by magnets and I accidentally put weight / pressure on it when reaching for the GPS that is suctioned to the windshield - thus my fault.I was also a little worried of the iPad falling out of the mount - but after getting an audio cable and lightning / power cord plugged into the iPad - they seem to hold it in place very snugly from coming out on its own.I was very close to upgrading the main head unit in the jeep so I could have Apple Car Play. Well now I have way better. Having an iPad with a Verizon chip in it I am able to use it for Pandora / GPS maps - even satellite images right there in the dash. Love it.

The product works as advertised, and makes for a really cool dash. My first issue had nothing to do with the mount, but rather a wifi based ipad mini does not have GPS so that was useless. After getting an LTE version I have exactly what I want. My one real complaint is that the lightning cable does not sit in and connect well. I think if you buy a 180 deg one, that would be your best bet. I picked up a 90 deg one, but I still had to file the kit a bit and the cable to get it in and connected with the tab closed. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with this setup.

A considerable amount of work to install it. My iPad does not seem to work with the front USB on the radio, leaving me no steering wheel controls. The plastic mold seems to fit the dash well. You’re using this in a Wrangler… Unless it’s a hardtop, it’s annoying to have to take your iPad out of this every time you leave the Jeep. Seems to come out of the plastic mold a little too easy at times.. I worry about how well it’s secured in there against falling out

Perfect fit and factory look! We ordered 2, one for each of our wranglers. We added some industrial grade 3m double stick tape in 2 spots just on top in addition to the magnets which seems to be working perfectly. Went on some REALLY bumpy intense trails for 3 hours yesterday and neither one budged, iPads stayed secure. Install took 20-30 minutes.

Great add-on for your Jeep. Very simple kit that'll bring iPad functionality right to your dashboard. The magnets are nice and strong, but if you'd like the kit secured better just use some 3M double sided tape.

Great concept falls short ...magnets don’t hold as well in a Jeep Wrangler u need something better to hold just regular small pot whole will fall, scared my ipad will shattered great idea tho

Another great idea on paper but in the real world it doesn’t work. Magnets barely held kit to the dash. Once the iPad was installed it became totally unstable. RETURNED!
