Great little ice cream maker!
I love this ice cream maker! Itโs fast and not a big bulky thing that takes up a bunch of freezer space. It comes with 2 freezer mugs so when I use one I put the other in the freezer to be ready for the next time. Though it may be a negative for some, I love the size of the mug. Itโs just enough for two people - or one if you really are an ice cream lover like me - and you can eat it right out of the mug. Clean up is a quick and easy. Another thing that some may not like (but I do) is that the consistency of the finished ice cream is similar to soft serve and if you want more of a hand packed consistency, you need to freeze it longer. Iโm a soft serve person so it works well for me. It comes with a recipe booklet but the possibilities of use are endless. I freeze flavored ice milk mixes, juice, smoothies, yogurt, etc. and donโt feel guilty about my ice cream indulgence!

Works great! Easy to use & clean
I love this ice cream maker. It not only works great it's the perfect size and easy to use and clean. I was hesitant to try it because of the negative reviews but I'm glad I didn't listen to those people and just gave it a try. I put very little effort into using it and it turned out great every time. Not sure why some people had problems with it or if it was just user error or inability to follow directions. But i found it super easy to use and very versatile. I put the mug/bowl in the freezer for 2 days first to make sure it was sufficiently cold. The first thing i made was simple vanilla ice cream using the recipe in the book (although i didn't even measure exact amounts, i just guessed and eyed it). Poured the milk/cream/sugar combo in and let it go for about 25 minutes. Poured in some chocolate syrup in at the end and had myself some yummy perfect chocolate ice cream. It was on the softer side which is how i prefer ice cream so it was perfect for me. Also i noticed if you eat out of the frozen bowl it stays cold longer and if you push the ice cream around to the sides as you're eating it, it continues to freeze and harden. Transferring it to a different container will only make it melt faster. The second thing i made was a fruit sorbet sort of thing. I did this last minute with no plan and it turned out great. It was super hot and i was making a fruit smoothie, then decided to pour my smoothie into the ice cream maker to see what would happen. It was literally just bereies, juice and a little milk. After 25 minutes this turned into a fruity iced treat that was super delicious and perfect on a 90 degree day. The next thing i tried was putting in yogurt mixed with milk and juice and this turned out as a creamy mix between ice cream and iced slushy. I'm amazed at all the different creations you can make with this thing and how simple it is to use. Also clean up is quick and easy which i like. Having 2 bowls seems like the best idea, especially for a single person, as you always have one in the freezer ready to use. This makes the perfect amount for one person but it can make enough for 2 even in one bowl. This is a great product especially for the price. Glad i didn't get one of those expensive ice cream makers that probably doesn't even work as well. If you have been wanting to make your own ice cream or iced/cold treats/concoctions, then give this a try. Don't listen to the negative reviews because this thing is awesome and works great! So glad I finally got one.

Wasnโt sure all of the positive reviews were accurate, but they are.
My wife and I have two grandchildren, and weโre always looking for fun things to do with them, because most kids like sweets, finding a product which entertains and educates while providing an end result which is tangible isnโt easy, so when I came across this simple ice cream maker, and read the reviews, I decided to give it a try. The set up is simple; clean the cups before freezing for 24 hours and clean the rotating paddle for future use. Before using the ice cream maker, you need to prepare the mixture and allow it to cool before using. Once everything is ready, pull out the mug from the freezer, place the paddle into the motorized top, and secure it to the mug before placing the ingredients into the ice cream maker. One thing I donโt like is the way ingredients are put into the tce cream machineโฆthereโs a small opening to pour in the liquid ingredients, which is fine, however, putting in solid ingredients can be difficult. Breaking cookies and candies into small enough pieces to fit in the tiny opening produces tiny pieces in the finished ice cream, and trying to pour in non-liquid ingredients, like caramel or chocolate sauce, it gets messy. With that being said, when itโs time to turn off the ice cream machine and remove it from the mug, the results are a delicious โsoft serveโ ice cream in the mug. If you want it like the more frozen variety (to scoop or spoon), youโll have to transfer the soft serve into a container (with lid), and place it in the freezer to harden. One thing which may make this easier is if they included lids for the mugs so no transfer would be necessary. If you want multiple flavors, you have to use the same mechanized top on the second cup, and repeat the process. Again, if you want a more solid product, once again you complete a transfer and place the second ice cream flavor into the freezer. If making for the grandkids, immediate gratification is almost always necessary, so after the 20 minute freezing process, they can dig in. Naturally, my wife and I had to test the ice cream maker before introducing the fun project to the kids. We prepared to mugs, we used the same ice cream base so two different flavors (vanilla and any other flavor, like chocolate or coffee flavored).and then chose different items to add to our mugs (crushed Oreos or Reeses Cups vs Caramel and ,Iโm I Marshmallow). I prepared my wifeโs first, and the product came out like soft serve with her desired additions, and when I was cleaning the top and paddle before pulling out the second mug before starting my preferred product, she tasted the ice cream and said โthis is freaking deliciousโ. I transferred her ice cream into another container so she wouldnโt the whole thing and make her sick, then I made my choice and put it in the freezer once the churning process was completed. Mine came out amazing, as well. If this came with lids for the mugs I would give it five stars, but if thatโs not a big issue, then the finished product deserves five stars..

Fun simple ice cream makes. Great activity to do with kids!
I bought this as a gift for my in-laws and they have happily used it many times to make ice cream for themselves and as an activity to make ice cream with their grandkids. They've expressed that it has been easy to use/easy to clean, and freezes well. They have used it repeatedly so I know they enjoy using it, it isn't too complicated, and it works well. I've also tried the ice cream they've made and it was delicious an rich vanilla. I love that this set allows for the option to make two different flavors with the two cups. I don't think they have tried making multiple flavors yet, I know if my husband and I had these that we would both be experimenting with different flavors from the ingredients we have at home!

So far works great!
Just received ice cream maker a few days ago. I mixed up a quart of drained whole milk yogurt with 1/2 cup whipping cream, 2/3 c of sugar and a tbsp of brown rice syrup. Added chopped nuts, chocolate and raisins to first batch, Kahlua and mole bitters to second and will try chopped cherries and vanilla extract in the third. I have had excellent results so far. I do find that it is difficult to pour the mix through the chute. Unlike the liquid mixture for ice cream, the yogurt is too thick to pour in easily. I might add more cream to next batch.

Great! GET THE SILICONE SPOONS!
We have really enjoyed the My Mug ice cream maker. It is so quick and easy to mix up a base and stir it up after dinner. And there is very little to clean - just wash the bowl out and put it back in the freezer for tomorrow night! However, I am feeling a bit over the no-cook recipes included in the booklet and do want to branch out a bit. ***HOT (COLD) TIP!*** Search for the below item - these are the spoons you want to eat directly out of the bowl without worrying about scratching it! Chocolate protein shake
I followed directions and froze the cup for 36 hours. I used a cold chocolate protein shake as the liquid. I turned on product and poured in liquid. After 15 minutes it was slushy. I decided to eat it. I did enjoy the slushy texture. One issue is that a lot of the liquid had frozen to the bottom of the cup and I could not get it out. Iโll still use this and try other liquids

Perfect size
I have a Breville Ice Cream machine but after the first summer, i just couldnt bring myself to lug it out, especially because i dont really eat large portions of ice cream. This is perfect for myself and my husband. I make the batter and just put the whole machine in the freezer, not even worrying about prefreezing. Starting with a cold bowl and cold batter leads to as good results as my 450 dollar machine. Creamy without noticable ice crystals. However I use it ad hoc, often with hot batter from making starch thickened ice cream, and the texture is still decent. Honestly the only way this could be better is if they made it with stainless steel, because the nonstick coating scratches really easily, which makes me uneasy. Nonstick doesnt even help because the "sticking" problem comes from the edges freezing solid.

Small ice cream maker.
Really like this little unit, made the mango sorbet first and it was very good. It does take time. If you have the time it's worth it.

Do not buy it
So annoying. Keeps stopping every 2/3 minutes. The machine is too hot for it to start again. When it starts again, it stops 2/3 minutes later again!

Very happy with the Dash!
I received a My Mug Ice Cream Maker as a Christmas present. Within short order, I made strawberry ice cream, and mango and lemon sorbets. All were delicious and very easy to make. I actually found that with the sorbet, one mug made two large scoops (thoโ maybe I added more mixture than suggested?). Note that a couple of hours or so in the freezer is required for a firm consistency. As I love the occasional ice cream but we are not close to ice cream shops or grocery stores, I am really happy to have the Dash on hand.

Awesome product
I keep the mugs in my deep freezer, I have no issues with the ice cream being soft. Perhaps my freezer is colder than most, but it comes out the same as store bought ice cream for me.
