Revenge - Season 1-4 [DVD]

I am hard of hearing and on tv cannot get sub titles for Revenge but DVD has them.Such a great series and I realise how much I missed because I couldn’t hear the words properly,even wearing hearing aids,,well worth the money burying my own box set.

This is a very clever thriller where you never know what is going to happen next .The storyline , acting and beautiful setting and people to look at make it well worthwhile.

I watched this series when it was on TV and wanted to watch again whilst I was stuck on bed rest and it was just as good as I remembered. Definitely a series to keep you entertained.

This is a wonderful show, and I highly recommend it. It scores five stars on many fronts : the storyline, the acting, the direction, all first rate. The coastal setting is beautiful as is the staging of the houses. The women will particularly enjoy the fashion worn by the ladies of the show. ( ABC spared no expense on this, and it shows. ) The character development is excellent : detailed and nuanced. It's to the point where you feel like you know someone like them (just maybe without their money!)This is a story how a woman, Emily Thorne aka Amanda Clarke, plots and takes out revenge on a family, The Graysons, led by the matriarch Victoria Grayson, for wrongfully having Emily's father imprisoned for a heinous crime that he had nothing to do with. Not only the Grayson's : Emily's wrath is for everyone who wronged her father, and herself. She doesn't kill anyone directly, but she spares little mercy in dealing with those responsible. She enlists the help of several people, all men in her life who know who she truly is and know her cause is truly just. Of all of them, the most delightful and witty is Nolan Ross, a billionaire computer genius who proves to be invaluable. Many of his lines steal the show. But all of the actors -- both the heroes and the villains -- are just excellent. And the cat and mouse between Emily and Victoria (played by the wonderful Madeline Stowe) is really something to see.The show does have a few holes, and there are times you're just going to have to ride with it. This is like all TV, and you shouldn't worry about it -- because you're going to love the ride! This show is well worth your time and I strongly urge you to buy this wonderful set on DVD. And buckle in, the action starts with the very first episode!

My work schedule prevented me from seeing this series on TV in its entirety, so being able to get the DVD set was awesome! I love the architecture as well as the plot line(s) - during COVID restrictions, this was a lifesaver to be able to pop into the DVD player and immerse myself in other things.

Personnellement j’ai adoré redécouvrir la série en dvdLes coffrets sont riches en bonus dans les 3 premières saisons malheureusement la 4e en manque cruellement. C’est un véritable problème avec abc studios qui depuis quelques années ne nous propose plus de bonus ou le minimum (quelques scènes coupées et un bêtisier)...
