2020 Gun Camera for Hunting

Very disappointed that supplier will not respond to obtaining replace parts such as lens cover, which cracks when over tightened and cushion pads as the glue will last only a couple of times when switching between barrels. Two simple items and causing a headache to replace.On the flip side, no problem with viewing shots. Question is this camera equivalent to ShotKam - no, but half the price.

Excellent camera for recording your bird hunts!! Very durable mounting system and excellent camera features. Everything you need to get going is included, except a microSD card (I had a 64GB card on hand and it works with no issues). My favorite feature is the ability to pause and resume recording at the tap of a button......this way I can record multiple events over an extended period of time - all contained in a single, smaller video file without long periods of down time between moments of action as you might get from a camera without this feature.The cross hair design with dual colors is highly visible under any lighting condition or background. There's a small light on the back of the GunCam that is solid red or blinking, which makes it very easy to quickly see if you're recording or not. There is only one large button that is multi-function......it powers the camera on and off, and pauses and resumes recording.....so you never have to wonder which button to press. Turning the GunCam on and off takes a deliberate press and hold for about 3 seconds, so this would be hard to do inadvertently. Pausing and resuming is done just by a quick press or tap of this button.I use zoom for hunting and wide angle for shooting clays. I use the recorded video clips so I can watch epic shots over and over, and also so I can see and understand how I missed birds or clays. I have 400 rounds through my 12 gauge shotgun with this GunCam mounted, and it hasn't moved in the slightest from it's original position. I have the GunCam for Hunting as I wanted it to be camouflaged the same as my shotgun. The GunCam for Clays has the same features as this but with a black finish instead of camo.This has proven to be a high quality product at a price that is hard to beat!!

Pure junk! Don’t waste your money. My husband’s camera died three months after purchase. (Hunts 5-6 days a week) The attachments are difficult to attach to your gun. They are not stable after one shot. If you turn it on the on button times out so you potentially miss your shot. The video quality is poor. It won’t accept a SD card larger than 32 so your video time is limited. It also will corrupt the video. No warranty. So basically spent $330 on nothing. Don’t waste your money on this product. Amazon does not offer any warranty on the product and you have to go through the manufacturer which is absolutely zero help and they are unwilling to correct the issue. Buyer beware!!!!

I have two Tachyon cameras and both quit working after just a few hunts. Before I made my purchase I reviewed the Tachyon website for hunting usage / restrictions, nothing is mentioned.The first camera stopped working after a few hunts. After waterfowl season was over I contacted Tachyon customer service and they sent a replacement. The replacement camera worked with no issues (summer).I tried the replacement Tachyon camera the subsequent waterfowl season and it failed again after just a few hunts. I contacted Tachyon customer support during waterfowl season and they asked what type of shells I was using.Being a goose hunter I use 3.5 Inch BB's, not hypersonics but a fast load. I was informed by customer service that the camera has issues with 'high speed' shells.They then said they could not provide a refund since my original purchase was past the warranty period (1 Yr).I informed them I would have never have made the initial purchase if I would have known I could not shoot all shotgun shell lengths & speeds. I shoot trap, Pheasants, Dove, Turkey, Ducks and Geese which uses 2 3/4 to 3 1/2 Inch shells.Their customer service people then stopped returning my emails...Additionally if your battery does stop charging I have read you have to pay for shipping to send it in to pay for them to replace the battery...If you shoot 2 3/4 loads this might be a reliable camera if you hunt waterfowl dont waste your money the camera and their customer support will disappoint you.
