5-Minute Sketching: Animals & Pets: Super-quick Techniques for Amazing Drawings

There are many interesting example sketches in this book, which might inspire ideas and encourage learners to copy the styles. However, I was extremely disappointed in the text. The author doesn't actually teach any skills at all, or offer any kind of detailed instruction. Instead most paragraphs are simply repetitive, vague and unhelpful waffle. If you learn from example pictures then it might be worth giving this book a go. If you want real, written instruction in how to draw animals, then I doubt that this is the book for you.

I really liked this book, so much so that I bought the rest of the series too, they're all good. They have one author who gives several different techniques and they're all illustrated by a variety of artists so there's something for everyone. For too long the art books market has been dominated by one artists, this is a great step forward at a bargain price.
