Have used this several times since purchase. Used on hard and soft surfaces. Really boosts your confidence when up the supported ladder. I haven't had to tackle any situations with a significant gradient of the ground but I can't see why such situations should pose any real problem. Using it obviously adds time to getting the ladder setup each time you need to move the ladder but for the added safety I think this is a small inconvenience. It isn't cheap, but it does a good job.

Takes a bit of getting used to in terms of adjusting to suit ground level i.e. deciding when to change the full base level versus simply 'playing' with the feet (usually needs a combination of both to get level correct.Once mastered (after a few minutes) I found this ladder stabiliser very good. Once in position is held very firmly giving me great confidence that my ladder was stable.It's important to get the angle of ladder to wall correct to ensure the stabiliser performs correctly i.e. not too steep or shallow to maximise grip of feet to floor and allow the ladder feet to sit correctly in the base tray - therefore minimising risk of slippage / movement.I used on sloping tarma and then sloping grass without issue.

This works.Have used couple of times to paint wooden siding where path slopes alongside garage.Felt ok even at apex of eaves.

Big Grip Ladder Stabiliser is an excellent design and manufacture for the stability of a ladder . The unit is well made and easy to use, although somewhat a heavy unit to move about it does a really good job . I have a professional painter who uses one of these and I saw his and that is why I bought one for myself, I had a mishap last year with a ladder that slipped and although I only fell from 9 feet it was enough to unnerve me. The stabiliser is perfect and I now use my ladder again with confidence.I bought two of these excellent ladder supports. Reason was I had a roofer in to do some work last week and I loaned him my first one. He liked it so much that he bought it . So I bought another one . At my age I need a stable ladder support and this gives me confidence that the ladder will not slip whist I am on the ladder . Well made and so easy to use.

Great bit of kit well made good quality material, not the cheapest but worth the money , great on flat or uneven base I feel a lot safer going up a ladder now .

Excellent ladder stand. Used a fair bit now, makes using ladders much safer, essential bit of kit.
