I have a huge dome AND locs. My head measures about 25 inches in circumference. I ordered a size 3XL and this juuuuust fit if I pulled it down really tight. It worked great in the water for protecting my face from the sun. The brim is really wide if you don’t fold it up. The color is a true khaki and feels like such. Will be bringing this to the pool and beach with me. If I had the chance to repurchase I would get it in a 4xl so I could pull it down all the way, but I made due.

XL fits my 23” head with a little extra room to make this hat super comfy. And the brim covers very well without folding it. Definitely buying more colors.

I ordered the XL and it's too snug. Does anyone out there make a sunhat for us "Big Heads"? I have exhausted my search. Hat is made out of very durable good quality cloth, but not ventilated so could be a bit warm in the sun. Too small, so will have to return.

Ordered Wallaroo Hats and was sent this brand. It's not a Wallaroo Hat and the quality is not the same. Did not send it back as I was on vacation when it shipped to my home. Will use it for gardening. DISAPPOINTED!

I am going on a trip to the tropics, and was tired of too-tight hats that gave my 23" head headaches, so I googled hats for big heads and found this gem. Not only is the fit perfect, but the workmanship is 5 star as well! The fabric is a heavier microfiber that keeps its shape and is nice and soft on my head. I love the brim because it can be worn up, down, or shaped into a Robin Hood shape if you are feeling adventurous, it is that good! My husband noted that there is no chin strap to keep it on, and I then pointed out the interior adjustment that keeps it snug. I love this hat! Unlike those paper sun hat, or those made form recycle fibers, you can actually clean this one--another plus. I haven't packed it into a suitcase yet, but I am pretty confident it will do as promised and keep its shape. I highly recommend this hat for anyone who has had trouble finding a comfortable hat in the past.

I cut out the crown of my hats and "after market" them so that my scalp is not covered. I like to wear my hats low on my forehead - so this hat is perfect for that purpose. Its only possible to cut out the crown, turn in and sew down the cut edges on high quality fabric hats, which this is.

Biggest problem...the lining is sewn carelessly, so most of it puffs out from the inside and is visible from the outside wearing the hat. Very unflattering. Also, brim is floppy and is difficult to adjust evenly around the hat's crown. Disappointing for the price.

I wasn't sure about the size. I have a monster 23" head, and I was not sure whether I should get a large or an extra large. I posed my question to the Amazon community and the consensus was to get the XL. Which I did. Thankyou gratefully to all who responded. The fit is perfect with the ever so teeny weeny cinching of the drawstring. I am going to the Caymans in a month, and with a history of basal cell carcinoma on my nose, this will make me enjoy my time in the sun. It is seriously cute and floppy and funky all at the same time. Beautifully made... no crummy stitching issues. I appreciate a quality product, and this is true quality. Don't hesitate to buy this.
