Most reviews are not specific to this air drop system!
First, reading the reviews is almost worthless as it seems the reviews are all grouped with multiple airdrop systems (and complaints are about totally different systems). For this one that I bought, the drop is activated ONLY by spinning the drone around in place for 10 seconds. There are NO light sensors that react to a light being turned on for the drone that activate the drop as some reviews state. I actually thought I bought a light activated drop system because the instructions and description are not the clearest out there (but they are there). This particular system is ingenious and won’t need recharging for eons (supposedly hundreds of rotations (one hook rotation is considered a drop)… This chargeable pack is extremely light and even though specifications say that batteries are not included, you don’t need any as there is a battery included in this system (that is rechargeable through a usb-c) that (the battery) is integral within the case.

Spent 40 bucks tried using one time gave up put back in box
Sucks I sure wish somebody would’ve told me how it works or warned me what I was getting absolute waste of money if you can even figure out how to get to work is abuse well if you like sitting there running in circles for 10 minutes it’s OK otherwise it’s build quality and design are lacking It’s hard to use and I would recommend finding a different type of release mechanism rather than 10 circles, Rider left in order to release payload

It really works...
It really works. It's great that it can be triggered from any distance that you have control over your drone. The hook could be a bit longer, to more securely hold the rope but it seemed to be okay in my use. Will test more.

Works fine
It took me a long time to fine a drone dropper that would awoke best for my drone and this one was it. Spin for 10 seconds and release payload. Simple

Not reliable
It doesn’t activate the servo reliably. Also, anything hanging below causes the 4 to get unstable. The sensors pick up the object below it and cause it to go into slow mode to descend…. The cpu thinks it’s about to land. Spinning in a circle to “release” just makes any object suspended to spin as well and that just plays havoc on the drones stability sensors. If the object doesn’t release , it just makes for a dangerous situation. Maybe someone else has had better luck with it.

Only Certain Drones
Description says it works on Mini 4 Pro and box clearly doesn’t list that one as being compatible.

Works great, but can make you crash if you use too long of string
It works great. It’s really nice that I didn’t have to worry about being within range for a separate remote.Only thing I would stress is to make sure the payload is not hanging very low underneath the drone. Especially if it’s a small drone. And fly very slowly and smoothly. Because it can easily throw the drone off balance and make you crash.I’ve lost 2 dji mini 2 drones this way.Otherwise it’s great!
