Wooden Safety Gate is good looking, well made, easy to fix & convenient to operate.Used at bottom of stairs to stop our dog using them while one recovers from a cruciate ligament strain.Caution should be used with any of these type of gates if used at top of stairs using the friction fittings as a person falling against them might cause dislodgement. There are plastic cups included with small screws & raw plugs to fix these cups against wall/stair post which will increase security if used at top of stairs. Nevertheless, if a heavy person fell against them they might well still fail.

The gate is quite attractive, with nice wood grain. It was quite easy to install on the stairs, and it is certainly robust enough to stop the dog and/or any children. It is relatively easy to open. The wood is splinter-free and has been sanded to a nice curved shape.

Bought for open oak stairs. Product arrives unfinished so you can varnish in any products. I used osmo oil in clear which was also used on my oak stairs.Easy to fit and no issues so far

Beautiful gate, lovely wood. It’s not treated or it doesn’t feel like it is, so could be stained to match the existing wood in your home, if wanted. We bought this because we were tired of the metal white ones everywhere (toddlers and dogs meaning they’re all around the house!) so wanted to try one before purchasing them for each area we need one. We bought the gate for £49 and the two extension pieces for £17 each. Unfortunately now the gate alone is £60 which seems a bit pricey considering I bought it a couple of days ago for over ten pound less but whatever!The gate has a good safety latch which is easy to open with one hand when holding a toddler or baby in the other. It’s lovely and tight fitted at the bottom but a bit loose at the top - I can’t tighten it anymore or it presses on the latch and means I cannot easily open it and, once open, impossible to close again, so it is what it is. It’s strong enough to stop a toddler but not sure about an adult or dog if they put their whole weight on it. As such it was a bit fiddly to install but relatively okay. I would recommend this gate and we will get more once the price goes back down, or we will look elsewhere!

Very easy to install, with choice of renter friendly stickies or screws for a more permanent fix. Our Little one is only just starting to crawl so it hasn't been tested to it's limits yet, but from a few knocks with the hip on the way past it's not going anywhere. Can be opened easily with one adult hand and closed quietly during nap time.

It is an attractive looking item although it would look a lot better if the logos were omitted and the plastics were moulded in a colour matching the wood. Mostly well made BUT there is a small screw securing the catch to the frame which is too short and consequently comes loose and can't be retightened, this causes the screw to interfere with the latch and is really annoying! I have removed the screw for now and will find a longer one to replace it. The bottom of the gate doesn't always click on place without extra assistance. It's not worth sending the gate back for such a minor item but it's a poor detail on a premium product. So yes it's a nice item, does what's intended and I'd probably still buy it but knocked down a couple of stars for poor details.

Well made, blends in very well due to natural wood material, very easy to set up and adjust. Nice and sturdy and excellent value for money. Arrived in good time and well packed, nothing damaged or missing.

Abbiamo acquistato questi cancelletti per tenere il nostro cane irish soft terrier, che è un cane di taglia media circa 50 cm al garrese, fuori dalla zona giorno o viceversa fuori dalla zona notte a seconda della necessità. Siamo molto soddisfatti per ora in quanto i cancelli sono belli esteticamente, s'inseriscono perfettamente nell'ambiente e sembrano robusti. A volte il nostro cane, che pesa 15 kg, si lascia cadere di peso contro alle sbarre ma non si sono mossi. Il montaggio è stato veloce. La chiusura è buona perché apre sia da un lato che dall'altro della stanza ed apre a 90 gradi e questo è essenziale per la comodità del passaggio. Si chiude e si apre facilmente con 2 mani. Solo una volta sono riuscita ad aprirlo con una sola mano. Probabilmente è questione di pratica. Inoltre, il fatto positivo è che non si devono bucare il legno delle porte per fissarli. L'unica nota negativa è che i cancelli che non richiedono fori hanno tutti, per forza di cose, la sbarra che poggia a terra e quindi quando si passa si deve fare lo scalino. Non è un problema perché si tratta di una listella di legno ma ci si deve ricordare di alzare i piedi. Comunque, noi siamo molto soddisfatti della nostra scelta.

Je recommande cette barrière à 100%Ses points positifs :- Robuste et solide si bien installé- Facile d'installation- Ferme parfaitement- De nombreuses extensions pour convenir à toutes tailles d'ouvertures-Design en bois très sympa Ses points négatifs :- Pas de possibilité de bloquer le haut d'un escalier- La notice pourrai être plus claire- Difficulté d'ouverture à une main (mais fais contraste avec le fait qu'elle soit vraiment bien verrouillée)-Impossible de verrouiller un des deux sens d'ouvertureCette barrière est tout juste parfaite, c'est le troisième modèle que j'achète. La première version avait un déverrouillage avec un simple bouton sur le haut à glisser pour libérer le loquet, elle était très facile à ouvrir, et même le chien en sautant et en poussant arrivait à la faire décrocher, tandis que celle-ci est certes plus contraignante à ouvrir, mais elle reste fermée quand elle est fermée et c'est ce qu'il faut !Je dis qu'elle est contraignante à ouvrir, car il faut déplacer le loquet de déverrouillage mécanique pour pouvoir libérer la porte et la lever en même temps pour ouvrir et c'est vrai qu'à une seule main (avec un bébé dans les bras) c'est une habitude à prendre qui n'est pas évidente du tout !Elle est simple à installer et sans perçages, cependant si vous avez un niveau à bulle, je vous conseille de la mettre bien à niveau et de bien l'aligner pour quelle ferme et s'ouvre correctement.Pour ceux qui avaient l'intention de la mettre en haut d'un escalier, ce n'est pas le modèle adapté, car il y a toujours un petit risque, elle n'est pas faite pour s'appuyer dessus, au-dessus d'un escalier et une fois ouverte le cadre risquerai de faire trébucher la personne en haut des escaliers également ...

Schon beim Auspacken macht das Holz einen guten Eindruck. Verarbeitung & Gewicht des Gitters unterstützten den Eindruck etwas Vernünftiges gekauft zu haben.Das Holz ist unbehandelt und glatt, sodass man keine Angst haben muss, dass sich die Kleinen Splitter o.ä. einfangen, wenn mal am Gitter "gezerrt" wird.Der Öffnungs- bzw. Schließmechanismus lässt sich tatsächlich sehr gut mit einer Hand bedienen. Der Riegel wird mit dem Daumen nach vorne geschoben, während man mit der restlichen Hand das Gitter leicht nach oben hebt und dann bewegen kann.Die Installation ist ebenfalls top. Egal ob für einen Türrahmen, oder als Treppenschutzgitter, wer die Maße beachtet wird beim Einbau mit ein wenig handwerklichem Geschick keine Probleme haben.Beim Auspacken sollte man sich nicht wundern, wenn das Holz aufgrund der zusammengespannten Verpackung etwas "verzogen" wirkt. Keine Sorge, bei bzw. nach dem Einbau ist alles wie es sein soll.Wer auf der Suche nach einem vernüntigen und trotzdem günstigen Schutzgitter ist, macht hier sicherlich nichts falsch!(Sollte dir meine Rezension gefallen/helfen, würde ich mich sehr freuen du sie als „hilfreich“ bewertest. En mi caso digo que es un buen producto, aunque tuve que pedir 2 suplementos a parte y al final me salió algo caro, pero despues de 2 años sigue funcionando a la perfección.
