I started taking apart my hp ProBook 4530s and took out the old Intel i3-2330 and put the new Intel i7 2760QM and put my laptop back together and turned on my laptop and cause I didn't have to reinstall windows 10 pro. But I don't know if I have to update my BIOS. If I do please someone let me know. Thx. I love this cpu i'mma test it with one of my games I play see how well it handles.

This fit my motherboard's CPU socket perfectly, but better yet, my mobo's chipset was terrific, recognising it and being compatible right out of the bat! It's an upgrade to my Pentium B950, 2.1GHz clock, dual core and not hyper-threading. This Core i7 is a 2nd-Gen quad core mobile microprocessor with a base clock of 2.4GHz and a boost clock of 3.5GHz. This CPU is 45W TDP. However, it works with my Sony VAIO EJ2 Series VPCEJ22FX/B 17.3-Inch Laptop (Charcoal Black)! Easy to upgrade, so 5 stars.

First one I received was a dud. But the second time around was successful. We'll put this new processor up to the test.
