Nearly every rigorous physics book requires knowledge of vector and calc. Meanwhile, physics books meant for an younger audience feel more like popular science books. They don't give you a taste of what studying physics really feels like.Loney's statics and dynamics is an exception. It is not a collection of cool science facts. It is very methodic in its presentation of derivations, calculations, and exercises. Yet, it only needs basic trig, not vector or calc. I think this book will go well with Hewitt and serve as a child's first glimpse into rigorous, proof-based classical physics.But it has no use if you already know calc. There are better books out there if you know calc.

I don't think so this book is much useful to a jee aspirant in any way yeah the theory and the problem solving strategies may be useful but you might encounter these problems and theory in some of the famous books so my recommendation is buy it if you are interested in the theory and knowledge of I.E Irodov.
