Bought this to replace a dead battery on an otherwise practically new MacBookPro14,2 Mid 2017. The old battery showed 0 cycles but was dead as a doornail. The procedure was a but different from others laptops with dead batteries I replaced, so I decided to try to remove the battery before ordering a replacement. I was stymied by yet another Apple security screws I did not have a screwdriver for — torx t3 screws.I posted a question but got no reply from anyone. Luckily, the package included ALL the three necessary screwdrivers!An hour later, I had my shiny new laptop with a 100% new battery. So far, no complaints — All is well.

I bought this 3 days before moving to a new place, now that I had time to install it, the computer doesn’t boot up, cause this battery is not working, and also I can’t return it now, due to time past.Stay away from this battery, they are dead on arrival.

The initial battery had problems and would not allow my device to boot up due to insufficient power. The seller was quick to replace the battery with me for a new one which I am using right now to write this review! The new battery works beautifully as it should. Big props to the seller for their customer service and backing their products! The package comes with everything you can possibly need to replace the battery - all the tools needed to unscrew the device and take apart the old batter.One suggestion would be to include a simple set of instructions to show how easy it is for customers to replace a battery in a MacBook Pro!

My friend has a MacBook Pro 13", which recently started to show "Service Recommended" warning in the battery status. Apple charges waaaaaaay too much for battery replacement and sometimes you are really better off just buying a new notebook :). So, we decided to do it ourselves to save some money and refurbish this MacBook with a brand-new battery. I chose this battery replacement kit because it includes everything you need to do it yourself, but it does not have any step-by-step instructions. Therefore, I had to resort to watching videos on Youtube to familiarize myself with the replacement process. The whole process is a bit complicated because Apple never makes it easy for their users to repair their tech. The battery is glued, and you have to disconnect everything and remove the PCB, but once an old, bloated battery was finally removed, putting back this new one was a breeze. It fits right in, has an already pre-applied glue layer and sticks well (wipe out your Mac body inside at the place of the battery with alcohol prior to this) and then put everything back together in reverse order. This 3rd party battery looks just like the OEM one, all connectors fit in nicely, I had absolutely zero issues. As I said, it comes with all the tools you need to replace the battery and I strongly recommend watching a few YouTube tutorials first before attempting this repair. I actually needed a few other tools to pry out the old battery, but you still can get it done with what's in the kit. End to end, this is a complete kit with an excellent battery, and everything needed to get your Mac back in tip-top shape! And I have saved quite a bit of money doing it myself instead of going to a genius bar. I can't comment about its lifetime, the manufacturer claims it can be recharged 500+ times, so I'll know in a year or so and will update this review accordingly. So far, my Mac has booted up and I'm quite happy with the new non-OEM battery, the battery warning message is gone and runtime on a fully charged battery is the same as with the OEM one. No complaints!*** TL;DR ***Yes, I definitely recommend getting this battery replacement kit if your Mac is telling you to replace the battery and save yourself some good money instead of giving it away to Apple! And the whole process is fun and educational, you'll learn something new. Just be gentle and careful around all cables and connectors inside your Mac. Unfortunately, it does not include any instructions, but you can find detailed Youtube tutorials about the whole process. Used this battery and followed instructions from a YouTube video and replaced the battery in my MacBook in about two hours. Had never done it before but I'm glad I was able to do it myself. Saved some money and didn't have to leave my computer with anyone I didn't know.

The good news is the battery works. The capacity after replacement is good and I have no issues with the battery in the computer.Compared with the iFixit version, this one is half the price. The installation is identical. What you don't get here is the adhesive remover for removing the original battery and a few other tools that make the process easier but are not absolutely required. The process of replacing is long and will require taking the computer completely apart. I had not problem with this since I have taken apart 100s of Mac portables. You must have several hours and a flat clean workspace big enough for the computer and all the part you will be taking off. You should also have a bunch of small parts bins with lids (this is a safety cause things happen) before you start this process.While not for the faint of heart, it is a good solution for those with the intestinal fortitude to do the work.

Had this installed by professionals, they told me the laptop would not turn on when this battery was installed.

The package includes all the necessary tools to replace your old battery with the new one.The installation process is simple and straightforward, as long as you follow the instructions. If you are not good at fixing things on your own and cannot follow the instructions save your self some money and pay a professional, like myself, to do it for you!!! Macs are delicate machines!!!battery provides a consistent and reliable source of power, even during times of heavy use. I never experienced any issues with the battery overheating or draining quickly. I can not say much about the life span of the battery but so far so good.

El ordenador la detecta bien, detecta el amperaje que el fabricante dice que debe tener... Aparentemente todo muy bien.PROS: - La batería viene muy bien presentada y "sellada" con plástico, así que es fácil saber que es nueva - El fabricante acompaña la batería de: * 3 destornilladores (T3, T5 y P2) * 1 Mantita antiestática para proteger el ordenador de arañazos * 1 Espátula para despegar la batería * 2 Espátulas flexibles * 1 SpudgerCONTRAS: - El Manual de instrucciones es demasiado simple - El cambio de esta batería supone desmontar el ordenador completo y extraer completamente la placa base con un alto riesgo de dañar definitivamente piezas que van codificadas por Apple por lo que no se podrían reponer

Die Ersatzbatterie von Hasess, welche mit dem Mac Book Pro 13“ aus dem Jahr 2016/2017 kompatibel ist, wurde ordentlich verpackt und recht zügig geliefert. Um die Unterseite des Laptops, sowie auch andere Teile, aufschrauben zu können, wurden zwei passende Schraubendreher mitgeliefert. Mit diesen sollte man allerdings vorsichtig umgehen, das heißt man sollte nicht zu viel Druck auf die Schrauben geben. Da die Spitzen der Schraubenzieher nicht die hochwertigsten sind, kann es schnell dazu kommen, das man mal einen Schraubenkopf rund dreht. Das wäre fatal, da man somit die Schraube nicht mehr aus dem Gerät gelöst bekommt. Es ist natürlich hilfreich, neben den Schraubendrehern, noch weiteres Feinmechaniker Werkzeug an Mann zu haben, wie z.B. kleine Plastik Spatel, um irgendwelche kleinen Flachbandkabel zu lösen..Die Ersatz Batterie macht vom Äußeren her einen guten Eindruck. Sie ist überhaupt nicht aufgebläht-was auch bei einer neuen Batterie nicht sein dürfte. Der Einbau der neuen Batterie ging gut von der Hand. Hierzu findet man auch genügend Tutorials auf YouTube. Die neue Batterie passt perfekt in die Aussparung. Nachdem alles wieder zusammengeschraubt wurde, konnte es auch schon an das erste Aufladen der neuen Batterie gehen. Das hat auch super geklappt. Sie wurde bis auf 100% aufgeladen, und das meiner Meinung nach genauso schnell wie bei der alten Batterie. Die Batterielaufzeit meines Macs ist nun zum Glück wieder deutlich länger und kommt nach meinem Gefühl der, der ursprünglichen Akkulaufzeit ziemlich nahe. Auch jetzt nach 2 Wochen läuft alles super und ich habe keine Beeinträchtigungen oder sonstiges wahrgenommen-im Gegenteil. Ich komme nun endlich wieder auf einen Tag, was die Akkulaufzeit betrifft. Diese nicht originale Batterie ist also eine absolute Alternative, als die teurere von Apple.
